Plaza Inn Albuquerque Guest Reviews
This hotel is good. The photos of the outside are very misleading. They were taken by an artist. That cliff it appears to overlook is really the freeway. Disappointing reality. Rooms were fine. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was hot, scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy. Yogurt and bread and bagels were the choices. Limited, but OK. There was a van to pick up at the airport and take to the balloon fiesta. We didn't use it, but saw people who did. Overall this is a good motel and I would recommend it. The ice machine worked...and they even had the coffee ready for those of us who left at 5AM for the balloon fiesta. Lemonade and popcorn in the afternoon was a nice touch. These people do a good job. I would recommend it.

only one baggage cart for the whole 5 floors and no way to go to elevator, from check in desk, without going outside and back in another door after negotiating a 2 inch high concrete difference where you had to work hard to get cart over hump./ only one ice machine for 120 rooms, and that was at far end of first floor./ rooms were extremely small and cramped./ big layer of dust on top of tv cabinet./ parking places were very narrow and shorter than most--could hardly walk between cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!! paid app $79 a night through service and could have walked up for $55 a night; during balloon festival!!!!

Traveling during Balloon Fiesta. Rate was waaaaay better than anyplace else. Staff was wonderful. Hotel is very dated. Noisy on the highway side of the building (but a cool view of downtown). Nothing 'bad' to say about the hotel, but certainly not one of the better places I've stayed. I would stay there again solely based upon cost.

The description for this hotel touted DVD players in every room and an adjacent restaurant. The restaurant appears to have closed long ago (and it takes a drive to find another option) and the DVD player was nonexistent. Shortly after check-in, I called about the player and was told "we're phasing those out." The next day at checkout, when I told the day clerk about my disappointment, he said that players are given to those who request them. Clearly, there was a lack of communication. Also problematic was a security peephole that was too high for anyone 5'4" and under, the handle in the tub to divert water to the shower was broken off and only a stub remained, the air conditioning unit was inadequate when the morning sun hit the window (even with drapes drawn), only a handful of channels were available on the TV, and one tiny bar of facial soap was the only soap available for guests in the bathroom. This hotel was a complete disappointment.

Not a bad place, older but staff and the cleanliness was great. They had a restaurant but it was evidently closed but did provide breakfast every morning which was good. I had stayed there before so knew what to expect, but the staff and housekeeping were very very good. I did enjoy staying there and would stay again, the pool and hot tub were clean and good condition, I enjoyed it.
