Very small 1-bed room, fortunately I am slim and could manage to use the bathroom. Friendly staff. Great location and surprisingly little noise from the streets. Extra bonus: Roof terrace (for breakfast) with great view. Heartily recommended.

Absolutely great location, very nice breakfast and helpful staff/ Occasional problems using the wifi, but this is apparently more due to room location than anything else. Staff generally gave me a 2 day access code for wifi. We were on the 5th floor. The only real downside was that the trash pickup was directly below us, and they typically showed up at about 6 AM. I would gladly stay there again but would request a room away from the dumpsters.

I was meeting someone on the Ponte Vecchio, so the location couldn't have been better - out of the hotel door, and onto the bridge. Most parts of Florence could be reached with an easy stroll, and there was a small taxi rank next to the hotel entrance for those longer journeys. Lots of enticing shops lined the neighbouring streets. The roof terrace with views over the city was particularly attractive, and although my own room did not look directly onto the bridge it was close enough that I could lean out and see it. The staff were incredibly polite, patient, helpful and friendly.

My husband and I went to Florence for our anniversary and wanted to stay in a hotel within walking distance from the Ufizzi and other museums, shopping district, etc. The Pitti Palace was everything we wanted and more. Really quite a basic room, very clean, great view, good breakfast everyday, and in the arts district. Fantastic overall!

Great Hotel with really nice location literally just off the Ponte Vecchio. Good breakfast with a great view. Helpful staff members who were always willing to answer questions on directions and good places to eat. Only down side was a strange smell that started coming out of our bathroom. When we told the front desk we were told it can often happen in Florence close to the river when the temperature changes?? I think from there onwards they just used heaps of air-freshener when cleaning. Overall I would still return as it was a good experience.

Super location just yards from the Ponte Vecchio. A bit noisy because of traffic. The bed was rock-hard but this is a personal preference so shouldn't detract from this review. The breakfast room was small and couldn't accomodate many guests at one go so waiting for a table wasn't unusual. There is an outside terrace but this wasn't much use when it rained! I wasn't disappointed overall and would stay there again.

This hotel, whilst a little difficult to find initially, is perfectly situated right at the Ponteveccio and is within easy walking distance of all the major attractions. It was rebuilt from the ground up after being deliberately demolished by the Nazi's to prevent access by the allies to the Ponteveccio, so it is fairly new by Italian standards. It is compact due to it's central location. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. The price is excellent. We did find that with only one lift it was often quicker to walk up or down stairs. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace which has magnificent views over Florence. I would highly recommend this hotel and would return anytime. It provideds perfect tourist accomodation. The only problem is parking, which is in a nearby underground garage not owned by the hotel and costs up to 40 Euros a day, depending on the size of your car.

great location, very quiet despite being on the Ponte Vecchio. Great breakfast on the terrace every morning, good size room, everything close by. My choice for Florence.

A great hotel in a fabulous location: a stones throw from the Ponte Vecchio and within walking distance of other major sites of interest. Despite its central location there's little traffic noise. The view from the breakfast room is wonderful and you can enjoy a leisurely start to the day with the usual offerings for a continental breakfast (but no boiled eggs I noted). Friendly staff with nothing being too much trouble. The beds and pillows were rather hard for my liking, but a small price to pay for being right in the centre of things. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic attitude from the staff for whom nothing was a problem and who made me feel very welcome in their city. An excellent hotel in a great location; have no fears staying here.

The location of the hotel is ideal and room facilities are good. Why I rated "bad" for their failities is based on the fact that when my room was too cold at midnight and I asked the front for extra brankets, they said that they could not provide any because room maids closed the stock room and their air-conditioning had no function to raise or lower the temperature. I know old European hotels usually have no state-of-art-technological-facilities, but I strongly want to say that if their air-conditioning system is not available to "condition" or "adjust" the room temperature, they are not qualified to show that they have "AIR-CONDITIONING" on their ad.

The Pitti Palace Hotel is ideally located, off of Ponte Vecchio. It is small, intimate and well-served. The breakfast buffet is very generous and served by friendly staff. Our room was a teeny bit noisy, but that is the only inconvenience we found. All in all, a very charming place and I would definitely recommend it.
