Pimalai Resort & Spa Koh Lanta Guest Reviews
Pimalai was very beautiful and romantic. It is further south on the island, so if you are looking to be in the middle of it all this might not be the best place for you. The on-site dive shop was amazing and the service was outstanding. The resort offered a small free internet cafe, a DVD library, and books in several languages. Additionally, they offered a variety of activities the could be scheduled through the resort for a fair prices. Would stay here again!

Pimalai is a lovely resort with an excellent beach out the front of it. About a 30 min car trip from the ferry but worth it.

Excellent location and great rooms. Very nice Thai restaurant, You always enjoy the Thai staff hospitality. The 50min transfer by hotel boat from the ferry pier allows to save time in a pleasant way even if the price is a little bit high (THB3800/Adult for a return trip. Overall the value for money is below average for a 5* hotel. When they offer mineral water during the transfer, comsumption dates are expired. When relaxing in the swimming pool you can enjoy the fried cooking smell from the beach reastaurant below. They do not clean the beach carefully. I had taken out from the ocean some blue plastic bags and they remained beside the beach seats for 3 days then...Same around the great beach large sofas.

If you have the money this is a very nice place to spend quiet time. My partner liked their claims of ecological concern in managing a hotel next to a national park. Keep in mind that if you take the ferry to the island and have the hotel pick you up they will charge you for the convenience (900 baht for us). On our way home we got a van all the way back across both islands straight to the airport for 400 baht/person.

Staff and facilities were wonderful. Over 150 staff to serve 100 rooms. No need to leave resort - all is there: beautiful pool with efficient pool side food/drink service; two great restaurants; great beach with water sport activities; and a wonderful spa. Rooms were beautiful, although mosquitos were also staying in the room with us. On the second night, we had the staff spray the room which helped. We were there with our 15-month old son, and the staff took extra time to pay attention to him and his needs. They even provided a teak crib for him at no charge.

Its a long trip to get to Pimalai, so plan to stay for a while and relax.
