Getting There & Around
Regional airports near the Leyte area include TAC Colombia in Tacloban and Calbayog Airport. Visitors who are coming from other parts of the Philippines may be able to fly into these airports and then drive to Leyte. A small airport in Ormoc City is only 36 kilometres from Leyte. International travellers, though, will need to fly into Mactan-Cebu International Airport, which is 130 kilometres away.
Public transportation is not an issue in Leyte, since the province has five bus terminals. Along with bus travel, visitors can get around by hiring rental cars, tricycles, and pedicabs.
