Petit Palace Museum Hotel Barcelona Guest Reviews (9)
got into Barcelona and arrived at the hotel at 7 in the evening to be told that the hotel was oversold and they did not have a room for us- they did arrange for a taxi to take us to a sister property. The room they put us in was horrible- we had booked the "romantic package" and were given a first floor room next to the elevators. The room must have been a conference room converted- inside we found a double bed, bunk beds along the wall, a conference table and a projector screen. It was horrible. We asked for a different room and they had none- they switched us to yet again another sister property. This hotel/room was really no nicer. The room smelled and the bed (including another set of bunk beds!) were rock hard. We checked out early the next day- horrible!!!

We had several bags from our ship the hotel didn't have a person to take the bags to our room. They didn't have face towels so we had to use hand towels for our face. The tub was a spa tub it was too tall for all of us. One person in our party tumbled out of the tub, she was older and had nothing to hold onto. We asked for ice, for her fall, they put ice in a towel. We wanted ice for drinks they didn't have a ice bucket, they put ice in two glasses, there was only one glass in the room we had a party of 4. We paid too much for this hotel.

Perfect location with a short walk to everything. Two minor sugestions to make the hotel to my favorit: 1. Provide the rooms with a top-to-toe-mirrow. (Very importaint when I have bought new shoes...) 2. Change the floors to wood, that is better for thous who is a little alergic.

Very good pricing for it's location (1 block north of Placa de Catalunya) so it is central to everything. Short walk to Metro as well. The hotel is setup with a funky modern feel and the laptop that is in your room with free internet was quite helpful. We booked a 'Family Room and it was very spacious by european standards. A bunk bed set-up for our kids with each of them having a small lcd television on their bunk. Only english channel on their system was CNN however. Service at the front desk was a little cold but really didn't interfere with the stay. The ventilation in our bathroom didn't seem to be functioning so it was a little musty and we wouldn't recommend drinking water from the tap (it smelled/tasted a little punky) but we would certainly stay here again.

This is a really good place to stay in when visiting the bustling city of Barcelona. It takes only a couple of minutes to walk to Passeig de Gracia, Placa de Catalunya (with Corte Ingles) and the famous Rambla but you don't have to put up with the noise from the traffic. Also, the hotel itself is very nice and very modern. If you are in Barcelona for a vacation or on business doesn't matter, this is a super place to stay. I highly recommend it. Even the breakfast buffet is good.
