fair - too loud for the first night because it's halloween, people screaming and yelling on the street and we can't close the window, no air conditioner.

Location of this hotel is excellent. Take note that some maps may show its location to be adjacent Place Oriente, this is not the case. It is close to several other Hi Tech hotels in the Old Quarter nearby to Place de Sol. Yes, the room is small, but is typical and was not the smallest I've been in. Ideal for solo traveller or business trip

small but perfectly formed! lobby and room were modern and comfortable but never pretentious. room was not exactly spacious but, in fairness, it was well laid out and far from cramped. for "high-tech" read "flat screen telly, internet access and sunken spotlights". location is excellent - quiet but central - you won't be disappointed. single occupancy rate for a double room (include breakfast) was reasonable although those looking for a great bargain should probably try elsewhere. i never made breakfast so that part of the service remains a mystery. however, Madrid is a city where you head out after 10pm and crawl home at 6am so probably best to avoid ordering breakfast at all - just drag yourself to the best chocolate and churros place in town when you finally get up (San Gines, just off Calle Arenal). overall this is a functional and comfortable hotel although possibly not one for a romantic, opulent treat.

Our family of 4 had a very small room. We had a quad room and hardly had room for our luggage. The towels are nice, but toiletries are not replenished every day.
