fair - too loud for the first night because it's halloween, people screaming and yelling on the street and we can't close the window, no air conditioner.

Location of this hotel is excellent. Take note that some maps may show its location to be adjacent Place Oriente, this is not the case. It is close to several other Hi Tech hotels in the Old Quarter nearby to Place de Sol. Yes, the room is small, but is typical and was not the smallest I've been in. Ideal for solo traveller or business trip

small but perfectly formed! lobby and room were modern and comfortable but never pretentious. room was not exactly spacious but, in fairness, it was well laid out and far from cramped. for "high-tech" read "flat screen telly, internet access and sunken spotlights". location is excellent - quiet but central - you won't be disappointed. single occupancy rate for a double room (include breakfast) was reasonable although those looking for a great bargain should probably try elsewhere. i never made breakfast so that part of the service remains a mystery. however, Madrid is a city where you head out after 10pm and crawl home at 6am so probably best to avoid ordering breakfast at all - just drag yourself to the best chocolate and churros place in town when you finally get up (San Gines, just off Calle Arenal). overall this is a functional and comfortable hotel although possibly not one for a romantic, opulent treat.

Our family of 4 had a very small room. We had a quad room and hardly had room for our luggage. The towels are nice, but toiletries are not replenished every day.

Having stayed at the High Tech Clipper Hotel, I can say that it is in a brilliant location. It is just off the Gran Via with its shops, restaurants and bars all within easy walking distance. The only bug bears to say about this hotel was the size of the room. It was tiny and the view outside the window was of a service pipe and when it rained, we heard dripping on the pipe all night. Not the best!!! Also on our last morning before leaving for the airport, breakfast was due to start at 7.30. We were in the restaurant promptly at 7.30 in order to have our breakfast and get off to the airport. Unfortunately, only half of the breakfast was laid out. There was no hot food and no bread for making toast. We just gave it up and could not be bothered to wait. If breakfast is served at 7.30, I think it really should be ready before this time. But as I said above, brilliant location for all your needs. Even the Tour Bus stops outside!!!

The location is good, right in the centre of the city. The room is also good and clean. The hotel staff is very helpful with the information you need while staying there. The only bad thing is their breakfast. The food is not fresh.

Good location, close to a subway station. Staff was usually friendly. Room was clean and was kept clean. We had a room at street level so it was a little loud during night, but that seems to be typical for Madrid and did not disturb us much. At Breakfast the refill was very slow, only one person, which was not enough to serve all people. And the dish washer did not work good enough, some glasses and coffe cups were still dirty. Breakfast itself was great, American breakfast plus a lot of things, sweet and meat, cheese etc. to chose from. We would go there again !

The service of the employees at front desk was not as good as the location. The air condition in the room had been switch-off without notice. We stayed one night there without air condition!

We found this hotel excellent. the location can't be beat it's so central and easy access to everywhere. we were a stag do of 15 and the staff were brilliant, very accomodating and put up with us well. The breakfasts were ok, bacon eggs beans what more do you need to help a hangover. They also kept are bags safe for us in the hotel till later in the day when our flight was. all the lads agreed if we were to return to Madrid this would be the hotel they would return to with girlfriends, wifes or for a another stag party - although still getting over this one.

Like the access to free internet but need a couple more terminals or set a time limit as one person spent 3 hours on one which meant others could not use it Breakfast buffet good but should start earlier to allow for people leaving early to eat

excellently positioned hotel for anyone on a short stay in Madrid! It's very central to everything! Because of this it can be noisey at night as there is a club just down the road. But after walking around all day sleep isnt a problem! a bit dissapointed that there wasn't a huge tv on the wall and a exercise bike in the room as the picture on the website showed but apart from that it was fine! And also the breakfast was really good! pretty much all you can eat from a wide choice of foods! all in all i would recommend it.

This is the second time I have stayed at this Hotel and I would have no problems in recommending it to anyone. It is in a fantastic location, well priced, and has really friendly staff. One of the reception staff recomended a restaurant for us which was not over priced.

We agree with the comments made by previous guests, a superb breakfast, far greater selection that we would have ever expected. Nice to have internet facilities free of charge, well done, so many hotels charge extortionate rates for internet connection. Would definitely stay and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madrid.
