The hotel is located on the southern coast of Portugal in the Vilamoura area. The hotel is about three kilometres to the dining and entertainments hub Vilamoura Marina. Guests can also explore the city of Loule and visit the 13th-century Loule Castle.

Wir waren vom 14.-23.10.2011 im Hotel Pestana einquartiert. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich; die Reception hat sich immer sehr bemüht (Abschlagszeiten reservieren etc.). Das Zimmer ist i.O.; entspricht jedoch nicht 5 Sternen. Im Zimmer unserer Bekannten waren jedoch die Vorhänge zerlöchert. Die Pool-Anlage ist unsauber und ungepflegt. Die Liegestühle sind dreckig und viele sind defekt. Überall liegen Zigarettenstummel herum und Geschirr wird nicht abgeräumt. Das Personal im Frühstücksbereich ist sehr, sehr unfreundlich. Hier fragt man sich: wer ist Gast? Auch hier ist alles dreckig und ungepflegt. Eindeutig fehlt im ganzen Hotel die FÜHRUNG. Die Mitarbeiter werden überhaupt nicht überwacht und es interessiert niemanden. Auch unser Feedback vor Ort hat nichts bewirkt; man ist nicht einmal darauf eingegangen. Ähnliche Erfahrungen haben wir auf Port Santo in einem Pestana gemacht. Unser Fazit: never again Pestana!!!
