Trujillo Climate
Trujillo experiences a dry, desert climate. Temperatures are usually between 20°C and 25°C year round, rising to 32°C in the summertime from January through March, and falling to 14°C in the wintertime from July through September. Annual rainfall is close to zero.
Getting There & Around
Visitors to Trujillo fly into the Carlos Martinez de Pinillos International Airport, which receives international flights from many cities. Two nearby seaports, Salaverry and Chicama, make excellent landing places if you are arriving by sea. By land, the Pan-American Highway connects Trujillo with any major coastal city.
Fleets of taxis facilitate transport in this city. The city taxis are yellow, and the airport taxis are blue. On Espana Avenue in the downtown area, visitors can catch an inexpensive bus ride to the beach at Huanchaco.
