Getting There & Around
The Paracas region does not have a local airport nearby, so visitors who are arriving by plane must fly into Lima Airport and then take a bus to the Paracas/Balletas area. Very few buses go into Paracas because of the area’s protected status. If they are unable to find a direct connection, tourists may need to book passage on a combi to get to Paracas.
Paracas also has no local public transportation, so it is best for tourists who fly into Lima to hire a rental car and use that for their mode of transportation. Taxicabs are also available for hire in certain areas.
