The receptionists booked us in and out quickly , and without any fuss. Pleasant people to deal with. Parking was very accessible and not too badly priced. The hotel was clean and smelled clean, but had a tiredness from the 1970s when it was probably built. I liked the complementary box of chocolates, but wasn't too sure about the Bubby in the fridge , so left it there. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk. The bed was very firm by Australian standards, but softer than some I have slept on in Singapore. The " information for guests" book was very comprehensive and included information like the nearest pharmacist and hairdresser and their trading hours , as well as the normal hotel services. I have been in other overseas cities, and wished for the range and type of information that they provided. Someone has put a lot of thought into this document. There was a laundry service, and they also had self-serve laundry facilities- which would be good for a longer stay. Our room offer included breakfast which was pretty standard fare, fresh tasting and plenty of it, in a spacious dining area. Dirty dishes were cleared quickly. The Ambassasor had all the basics, for a good basic price. The room was a little ordinary if you are planning a special night, but if you were in Perth for a week or two it would be a good place to stay.

The Hotel is too expensive according to the confort, location and design !!!! Each time I've entered my room, I was thinking that Dirty Harry was behind the door !!!!

Although the location was very close to the heart of Perth, the hotel lacks that special something! Winter, and the air conditioning is on heat (only), making the rooms stuffy and quite warm - uncomfortable for a good nights sleep! Staff were friendly and helpful whilst keeping their distance. First in first served with parking can be quite interesting - chasing that elusive last spot can be fraught with danger when in competition but, overall not bad, and reasonable value for the money we spent.

Used the Ambassador as a pre-cruise stop. It was centrally located, with car hire facilities next door! Dinner in the restaurant was excellent! Our transfer to Fremantle picked us up at the door. Great location and would definitely stay again.

My own fault, I booked it, however I wouldn't make the same mistake twice. It really is one step up from a backpackers hotel. The staff a just delightful and the dining room, although lacking in atmosphere makes up for it with the cuisine, the meals are really very good. The rooms are small and dingy and are in need of an urgent update.

Room was quite an average size.. Bed was quite comfortable. Was clean and tidy. I would stay again if need be otherwise i would find other accomodation. Staff was very friendly fast service and polite. Bit of a walk into town if you are in a rush however many public transport services are available.

No free wifi. Location is not walking distance from city center and hqlard to catch the CAT line. For tourists maybe not a good idea. But hotel itself was good.

Mary and I enjoyed our brief stay at the Ambassador hotel in Perth very much, staff extremely helpful, restaurant very good, and a surprise to find a bath as well as a shower in the bathroom, Yes, we would certainly use this Hotel again.

I found the accommodation was very well priced for the facilities provided. It paid to book the accommodation through Rates To Go 1 week earlier as this provided a much lower price then if I had booked it through the Hotel. Recommend this Hotel.

The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly. The rooms were well equipped and most of all Clean! The location is definitely a plus because you could walk to many places within the city of Perth and when tired could catch a bus easily too! Overall I loved my stay there!

Great location in the East Perth CBD. Lots of free (on weekends & overnight) off-street parking. Good customer service. Hearty breakfasts ($17 full Eng / $10 cont). Rooms are fine - clean & tidy although a bit outdated but totally fine. Advertised health center is non-existant - spa/sauna don't work! no gym/pool. Fine for the price we paid ($115 pn - special) but can't justify the usual rate of $185 and above (as advertised).

Has seen better days but was clean and adequate, but a bit overpriced by eastern standards. Location is away from the centre of things, but that also means it was quieter. My main gripe: the TV was not flat-screen, and it wouldn't switch on.

main reason we picked this hotel was spa, spa been down for ages. tiny fridge, no decent radio on tv, radio crap, ancient room decor. wont b going back. low/mid level tourist dive. and had to pay for parking???
