Peppers didn't quite get it right for us. Our stay was for four days, however, we would'be been the only guests staying longer than 1 - 2 days, mostly they were bus trippers, however, they put us in one of the noisiest rooms there, the walls are so thin you could hear every movement and conversation that was made upstairs - most rooms actually don't have any-one above, we just got unlucky. Room had a layer of dust, especially bedside tables, I actually had to clean before we settled in. Bed was very hard with very uncomfortable cheap mattress, topper would've helped. Complimentary toiletries were either empty or half empty. Disappointing start to our 2 week holiday.

We found the hotel stuff very freindly and the hotel within walking distance of the shops and thermal pools. I travelled with my mum and we found the hotel rooms to be very small, next i would pay the difference for a 1 bedroom apartment

What a wonderful evening - we had booked online and were looking forward to luxury and we were not disappointed at all. We dined in the restaurant with a view out to Lake Tekapo - our food was delicious and we returned to our lovely room. We planned to relax in the hot pool before leaving Tekapo but what a pity it was snowing when we woke on Saturday morning and we were concerned about getting back to Christchurch for a planned occasion so our luxury weekend was cut short but we plan to return very soon.

I travel alone and booked this hotel as a treat. Stayed in backpackerslast time I was in Tekapo. Chalet style. Room was small, downstairs and facing car park. Perfectly clean. Also, sound transfer from guests arriving late on 2nd night was poor. When I arrived, lamp needed new globe, electric blanket had been left on warp speed. Air con very noisy during night, I asked for it to be checked but no-one confirmed whether it had been. Even though it had been snowing I slept with window open. Food was nice, expensive for what it was but restaurant staff were great. Wifi expensive and was really slow. Phone reception erratic so was using net to contact family. This hotel wasn't what I expected and probably not best choice for a single traveller.

This hotel is really expensive. It has a really bad customer service: the staff is not helpful at all and never do what they say they will do. During my stay, I was called by the hotel staff asking me to quit the room by 10am even if I had to stay a few more days. The staff didn't help us book a restaurant when the hotel restaurant was full and din't give us any relevant advices on things to do. I won't go back there.

Had standard hotel room, IT HAS TO BE SMALLEST ROOM EVER 3M x3.5M, not even room for second side table next to bed, had to use suitcase on stand as table, and second suitcase had to go in wardrobe. There is not even room for a seat !!!. Restaurant was closed due to function, no option provided other than told to "go up the street". Each pair of rooms has common access door to outside, and very noisy when neighbours go in or out, IT WILL WAKE YOU UP. If door doesnot wake you up, the air conditioner unit of the upstairs unit will!!(mounted outside window). We did ask for room change and were told they were full (in April RUBBISH!). Not Impresseed and do not recommend to anyone.

had a 1 bedroom unit with kitchen overlooking lake. very happy with accomodcation. only 2 downsides. balcony furniture consisted of 2 chairs but no small table to rest your glass or cup. Timber floor squeeked, so did the unts above us.

The resort is in an amazing part of the South Island, so the location was perfect. However, the room was extra small. It barely fit the king bed with room to walk around. We had dinner at the restaurant which was expensive and the portions were small. The service was particularly bad.

Stayed with these guys twice over two years and both times I absolutely loved the place. First time we had a full three bedroom apartment shared among six, second time was upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment for two adults. Haven't tried the hotel rooms. Would definitely stay here again, such an achingly beautiful place at Lake Tekapo and this resort just fits in so well.
