The hotel is generally good. However, the room keys are ultimately irritating. We always had problems slotting in the keys to open the door. As a result, I had to keep going down to the reception desk to get replacement keys. However, when I requested a bell-boy to come up to our room, it worked after a lot of times! Please fix this problem for future guests.

The hotel is located in a walking distance from a subway station Chong Wen Men(Line 2). A big department store is connected to the hotel. You can also find a super market in the basement of the department store. You can get anything around the hotel including MacDonald, Starbacks, Pizzahat, Chines first food, Bakerly, etc. The area is well developed and there are three shopping malls. Taxi fare from the airport is approximately 100 RMB. You should mention, "Beijing Wan Yi " to a taxi driver. 30-40 min ride will take you to the hotel if there is no traffic JAM.

We took a deluxe room which appeared very standard. The fitness and swimming pool are not in the hotel but in a fitness center in the shopping mall next to the hotel. The staff is nice but their english is more than light as the concierge didn't know what is a swimming pool. The breakfast is nice but could be better. I d'ont recommend this hotel.

This is a great location if you want to see the Beijing sights but want a familiar place to come home to at night. It's just a block from the subway, which you can take to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, and it's just up the street from the Pearl Market (Hong Qiao) and the Temple of Heaven. The rooms are great - all the western amenities of an American hotel, comfortable beds and super-quiet rooms. They also have a great breakfast spread. If you're craving the conveniences of home, the hotel is attached to the New World Mall, where they have a Starbucks, Pizza Hut and KFC. Beijing can be really overwhelming, so this was a great place to retreat to when the crowds and pollution get too much. Overall, an excellent value. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is located near subway stop, and is a short cab ride from Forbidden City and many other locations of interest. Hotel staff was helpful in arranging a driver to the Great Wall, making restaurant reservations, etc. Breakfast buffet was also good. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend.

The hotel staff needs quite a bit of training. Room service was a disaster. They do not even have English newspapers!!! There are far better hotels in the area for few more dollars.

Fantastic location, this is the main reason I stay here when I come to Beijing. It is within a quick taxi drive to major shopping and tourist sites. The hotel is very comfortable and easy to stay at for someone who only speaks English. Nervous American travellers can feel completely at ease here.

The hotel is nearly new and located in a recently constructed, new part of town with shopping close by. There are several restaurants to choose from, including a McDonalds, KC Chicken, etc. right around the corner. Its location is good, a short cab ride to the popular areas (silk market, Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven). The staff were most helpful and spoke English well enough to be understood. The room was nice size and had a blow dryer which made my wife happy. Be sure to check out the desert after eight o''clock pm in the lobby lounge. If you choose this hotel we think you will be very satisfied. For the money it is great!!!!

A good price for a good hotel at a good location with a good pool. Yes, I''d surely stay again and so would others as testified by the guests, many of whom come from are frequent visitors to Beijing.

Staff was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was truly fantastic - a good reason by itself to stay at the New World Courtyard. My only criticisms are very minor. First, their restaurant Spices and it salad bar were undistinguished. Second, their list of major locations and Chinese transalations of such on for taxicab direction was provided on a business card; it was very small in size and difficult to use. The health club available for hotel guest had a nice size swimming pool and the range of other facilities and services here were quite impressive.

We knew the hotel, as we have used it before. This time, we came to Beijing from Moscow by train and wanted a hotel with a lot more comfort than the Transsib, and we were satisfied. A good hotel, worth recommending to friends.

This hotel is fairly mediocre by American standards even though it is self-rated as a 4-star hotel. The lobby area is pretty nice but the rooms themselves were pretty unimpressive. The decor in the room was pretty dingy and I didn''t get the sense that it was spotlessly clean the way I got at a higher end hotel such as the Pudong Shangri-La Hotel in Shanghai (which is where I stayed prior to staying at this hotel). I would have felt ripped-off if I had paid the full rate listed on the marriott.com website instead of getting a discounted rate through asia-hotels.com!

I stayed at the hotel twice, also on 9/12-15/02. The rooms need to be updated, the bedspreads look very old and dirty, that included the carpeting also. Doesn''t seem to have the same Marriott Courtyard consistency. Thank you for asking my opinion.

The hotel is in need of refurbishment as the general condition of the furniture and fitting are very tired.

The staff made the stay very pleasant. Convenient to great bargain shopping. Drinks too expensive...so don''t drink. Amenities great for spoiled Americans. Don''t forget to bring copy of reservation with you. Makes check-in go smoothly.

The breakfast buffet was included in my room rate, which was a nice surprise, as there is no cheap Western breakfast nearby (there''s a KFC and McDonalds, but they both serve lunch/dinner food at breakfast). There''s a grocery store in the basement of the building where you can get cheap drinking water and other things.

A very good hotel with a good location. The best part was the staff: Very friendly, very service-minded, and always helpful and prepared for our questions. And they all spoke good English. (I have tried living in a Chinese hotel were no-one spoke English - that is not a good memory!)

When we arrived, the reception had our papers ready. We had asked for a non-smoking room. They apologized that they did not have one vacant, but insted they upgraded us to a better room. It did not smell smoke at all, and we had a large room for the lowest rate. Good service!

The breakfast in the hotel is superb. With such a good meal we hardly needed any lunch - which made the stay worth the money! Also I can recommend the health-club. Well equipped, and a nice swimming-pool.

This hotel is located in a very ideal location; a 3 minute taxi ride from the Pearl Market, 15 minutes to Silk Market (which is now an indoor building), 15 minutes to San Li Tun Clothing market. I only did shopping so I can''t comment on the cultural activities'' distance from hotel but I heard they were very close. Breakfast was free with my room and that was not only a nice surprise but delicious too. I would recommend hotel and will definitely stay there again.
