Pearl Farm Beach Resort Davao Guest Reviews
This place was great! Really quite a beautiful resort, the kind you see in those great commercials. The accommodations were very nice (we booked two separate bungalows, the Samal house for me and my girlfriend and the Mandaya house for the kids). The Samal house overlooks the water and the Mandaya house was on the mountainside-both were very clean. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The resort also has activities like parasailing (the price is very reasonable)...or you can just relax poolside and order drinks all day (just watch out for the bugs - they''re everywhere.). The only thing I would change is the transportation: there seems to be only the one boat that goes to the island at a preset time schedule. I wouldn''t mind paying a little extra for a private boat so that I can come and go at my own schedule.

Staff are very friendly. The Aqua Sports department is nice - free use of Hobbie Cat and windsurfers were nice touches. The scuba diving is OK (especially the ship wrecks) except that the coral is not too brilliant nor are there a lot of fish. Finally, please know that you are "locked in" to using the hotel's restaurant which is a bit on the expensive side.

Wonderful resort, but you are trapped, so you have to take your orange juice for 120 pesos instead of 60 pesos (what would be the normal price in the philippines).
