Very comfortable and pleasant hotel, deep in the English countryside.

When we turned up at the hotel, I could not believe it. The whole building was covered in scaffolding towers and plastic sheeting as they are undergoing refurbishment. We were kept up until 4 a.m. with noise coming from a room above. Saying that we did have the rate reduced before of this, but after paying out £187. altogether would have been better off staying at home and having a full night sleep. Not usually a moaner, but hey.

The owner and staff were extremely friendly. The food was freshly cooked, and therefore could be adapted to my special dietary needs (gluten free) and was excellent. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again.

The Manager, Mr Michael Pinder and his staff were excelent, they could not do enough for us. I would highly recommend this establishement for anyone wishing to visit Oxford and the surrounding area. We were really made to feel welcome at this Hotel!!! A special place indeed and we will be back!!
