Two night stay. The first room was bad without a bathroom (Goldfinger). We were then moved for the second night (cosmogirl) this room was super good.

Nice to find something different and untraditional. Small but cozy and had character. The staff are helpful but not very lively until you take the time to talk to them We would go again

The hotel was as described with unique decorations but almost gothic/alice and wonderland like and very dark rooms. It was located near an underground station and convenient it you were going to stay in that neighborhood, though the neighborhood was mostly middle eastern culture and food. I felt safe and fine being there, just didnt read about the types of restaurants in any other reviews. It was not the type of food and neighborhood I was looking for. The shower water temperature was either freezing or scalding. The continental breakfast was fine: croissant, muffin, cereal, and juice. The beds felt like they were from my grandma's time and squeaked every time you moved an inch, could use replacing. I would not return based on the neighborhood, room size, price, and location combination.

Nearly fell over when entering this place on the 1st day. The front step is very dangerous and needs repair badly. Sometimes covered with an equally dangerous loose plank! Or a dirty towel! The rooms here are lovely, it is quirky and colourful, a lovely looking boutique hotel. Close to the tube and handy for central London and the sights. The reception area (where the staff hang out) is so cosy and hot. However, the rest of the building is Siberian, including the attitude of the reception staff. The Pavilion's website is out of date because this place is clearly no longer the fun it once was! It is NOT A HOTEL, it is just an over-priced bed and breakfast. There is no bar, no dining or sitting room. The most miserable, nasty, so-called continental breakfast I have ever been offered, left on a tray on the floor outside my room. And they are very mean here with the coffee, tea, milk, etc. in the room, which I was expected to drink from a tiny, dolly's tea cup! And all you get is 1 tiny piece of soap in the bathroom which is not replaced each day! My room was incredibly cold at night (November) and when I asked for the radiator to be switched on, they said 'OK' but nothing happened. I was so cold at night that I slept in my day clothes! (And I live by the sea on the chilly and blustery East Coast) It is a lovely quiet location, it could be so wonderful here - and obviously once was! Spoiled now by clueless, greedy, mean-spirited owners, and totally selfish, lazy reception staff. Why bother guys? Give up!

This is a good place, 7 min walk from Paddington station. The hotel is rather modest in terms of comfort, but is kept clean and the staff is friendly.
