The Parkway is nothing flash but it is conveniently located in Queanbeyan. I was going to to Canberra for business (once again) and have been sick and tired of the poor value you get in Canberra hotels. Noting that I was visiting people at Brindabella Park near the Canberra Airport it is just as easy to head to Queanbeyan as Canberra for accommodation. This little old-fashioned motel passed the test. It is simple but clean and located near shops and restaurants.

This hotel is cheap and it shows in the facilities offered. The photo on website is of a newer section the actual room that we stayed was in the older section. Bathrooms appear to have been remodelled but lacked attention to detail - eg glass missing from vanity and plumbing that vibrated if any other guests using in their room. Swimming pool was not available - covered over. It appears that to keep costs down maybe this is no longer available. In the rooms the tables are stained, I would suggest if you want to stay take cloths to put over them ( we did).

I normally don’t write reviews for hotels but this place is literally a 'dump'. The room was small and very outdated with a musty odour permeating throughout. Paint was pealing from the ceilings and there was a large cigarette burn on the carpet beside the bed despite the room being designated as ‘Non smoking’. One wall was painted bright scarlet which almost had me throwing up. Worst of all, the mattress was so soft that sitting or laying down created a large dip in the mattress. There is also no restaurant on site despite the large outside florescent sign indicating otherwise. The $15 charged for a continental breakfast that is brought to your room the night before is not good value especially when the bread for the toast is stale. (The Best Western motel around the corner offers a fully cooked breakfast for only $17). The only good thing I can say about the Parkway motel is the proprietors are nice and courteous. I definitely would not be staying here again!

I travel for work and have stayed here a few times, location is perfect for my work, price is perfect for work. Its nothing flashy but definately does the job, always clean and tidy and staff friendly. Will continue to stay here for work purposes.

Happy enough with the position and cleanliness, but no electric blanket and we were cold. All 3 rooms booked by us were the same. Aircon was too noisy to keep on all night. No rooms serviced on weekends.

Service is absolutely terrible. Stayed here once last week - my room was not serviced overnight. Attempted to check in a week later (this evening), arrived at 8pm to a dark, empty reception (door locked). Standing In the cold outside I phoned reception, could hear the phone ringing but no answer. Rang the door bell labeled "guest emergencies" for 15 minutes. There seemed to be someone in (light on upstairs and I could see some movement) but they seemed to ignore the guest "emergency" bell. Finally had to ring [website] who were very helpful. They tried to contact the manager but no response. I had to hunt for and then book into another motel on a very cold night. Would not stay at Parkway Motel again if you paid me. Absolutely appalled at their lack of service and the total lack of response to a bell labelled "guest emergencies" when there did appear to be someone in the "private" managment area above reception.

Basic rooms but a pleasant location across road from park and handy to town centre and restaurants. Note rooms are not serviced on weekends and holidays.

I felt most welcome at this motel, and the front counter staff were most helpful at all times. The room was comfortable and affordable, close to public transport and restaurants.

There was a cockroach in the bathroom. The television in one of the bedroom was a black and white that didnt give a good picture on the screen. I expected the fridge to be plugged in and running before guests arrive. Our cold drinks were thankfully frozen elsewhere before our arrival but no thanks to that unplugged fridge they stayed cool. The staff could be more attentive and willing to allow an extension of check-out time - 11.00am check-out is not an unreasonable ask even on busy days surely!? I will not be staying there again.

Facilities were adequate considering cheaper room rate. Room was clean and we were treated pleasantly, being thanked for staying there. Would have preferred a softer mattress. Only 15 minutes from Canberra and we would stay there again.

The standard is acceptable. I don't mind to use it again The name is misleading, it is not in Canberra but in N.S.W. instead. Luckily it is not too far from Canberra.

would not usually stay in Queanbeyan but everything in Canberra was booked. Glad it was. this place was very clean, conveniently located and only 30 mins by bus to civic. The other thing i liked was that it was very quiet. I find it had to sleep when i travel for work but this was great. would use again without hesitation.
