Excellent in all aspects. Located on main road giving some problems with entry and access. No noise at night

Friendly on arrival, and also very helpful in advising were all the cafe and restaraunts were situated.

The Lodge was probably the most enjoyable place we stayed on our recent trip to New Zealand. Our room had a full kitchen, king sized bed and spa bath, all for a very reasonable tariff. It is located on the main road before you reach the city centre, but we didn't find it noisy at all. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby and the owners are very friendly and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for anyone looking to self cater but still take advantage the comforts and facilities of a quality motel.
