we choose to stay at this property because of the room space & location. Therefore some other factors could do with improvement.

Nicely centrally located, friendly staff and good food in Purple Bar. Some window blinds/curtains/painted walls could do with minor repairs/refurbishing.

I stay at this property about six times a year and have have done so for the past eight years or so. Provided I am allocated a refurbished room, the stay is usually very pleasant. I imagine that most of the rooms are now spruced up. The single elevator allocated to guests is slow and the cause of the only frustration with the property.
