For 70 yr olds to be expected to walk up stairs to enter the room on the bathroom level, then down stairs to the room. then up and down stairs during the night. Not to mention NO HAND RAILS inside or outside the room. Advertised parking facilities, inhouse restaurant and bar didn't exist. We were completely miss-informed. It will take a lot to get us into another ACCOR establishment.

Very tired hotel. Carpets worn, air-con kept blowing fuses. Staff unsure of proceedures. Great location in Auckland CBD. Along walk to paid parking. Verry dissapointed.

this could be one of the worst hotel I've ever stayed in my entire life. I stayed on Friday and i had to catch a plane next day but I couldn't sleep due to loud music from outside. According to the hotel staff member, they cannot do anything with that. I believe that if a hotel is close to night club or somewhere make noise, they have to do something to reduce the level of noise. Well, my experience at this hotel was terrible and never want to stay at this again when I stay in Auckland CBD.

This hotel has great location on the main street of downtown Auckland, offers valet overnight car parking for an extra fee, with limited number of carparks and on a first come basis. Our room had full cooking facilities was warm and clean. Quiet despite the Saturday night binge drinkers that are the plague of downtown Auckland with muffled yells all through the night. Cooked or continental breakfast extra and expensive.

Room was very clean and tidy. 15 minutes easy walk to Viaduct conference venue. Staff were extremely helpful and happy to accommodate late luggage and car collection into the afternoon on last day of my conference. Local Friday night bar noise was just audible so ear plugs were helpful.

Despite adverse comments we were very pleasantly surprised. This facility is in a brilliant location to enjoy the sites of Auckland. The room was very well equipped and of a generous size. For those on a budget we would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Arrived at night. Did not sleep much first night as toilet cistern kept overflowing. The basin was rather blocked. Told desk staff in the morning, and they sent lovely gentleman immediately to fix both problems. Other than that, all quiet, and really happy with Hotel, which we have stayed at before. One thing - the underblanket was extremely soiled, so housekeeping are not always doing their job. Desk staff were very apologetic about the problems.

Room 107 has a nightclub below or next to so if you want any sleep do not go in this room. It thumps until 5 or 6am. Other than that room is OK with everything you need. Be careful booking with Rates to Go as I didn't realise it was in Aust dollars until I got my credit card statement so was thinking the room rate was pretty good for the price quoted but really it is not such good value.

Had an average stay here .. nothing really to rave about. Some of the rooms have strong damp mildew smells. We ended up having to swap rooms as the one we were given first off right up the very top floor had a double bed instead of a queen so ended up on the first floor. Was lovely room but unfortunately not much sleep was had as nightclub boom boom music didn't quit until 7am. Would advise not to stay on first floor if you're a light sleeper. I would not stay here again.

The hotel in right in the heart of Auckland city centre, close to shops, transportation, ferry & entertainment. The girls at the front desk were very helpful and courteous. There is a small supermarket across the road, which is ideal for those staying longer than a weekend and want to buy their own food. The room was spacious and had all that was needed.

Very central in CBD. Good old style hotel, but getting a bit dated and needing a refurbishment in the next few years. Central CBD is convenient, but a lot of street noise can be heard at night on weekends due to the pubs and clubs nearby. Good value for those with a tight budget wanting central CBD stay.

We booked over the internet and bought room based on price. Encountered a few problems with the air conditioner, BUT Staff went out of their way to help us which included a room upgrad . The issue was fixed with no fuss from staff. Recommend hotel if you are not expecting a 5* + facility but it is certainly 3* +++

Lovely staff, great brekky and newspapers included but that ain't enough to offset the horrors of this hotel. Unrelentingly featureless corridors that lead to odd L shaped rooms that represent the opposite of positive feng shui. Hideous outlook, from windows with curtains that don't keep out the morning light out. Blaring and relentless dance music from cruel Fort St Pub/nightclub in next street....till 3am..then sounds of lost aggro from street below. Sagging bed way too soft, pillows too firm and high, only lukewarm shower water in the morning, thin walls with sounds of Balrogg next door, coughing, hacking and f****ing. Lift not working and spa not operating - wondered why it was so inexpensive as I booked it online. Now I know..... PS: staff couldn't give me another room as they were full. No sleep....Sunday kaput......
