Park Plaza Wallstreet Berlin Mitte
4 out of 5

The room was very comfortable with lots of space, a nice bathroom, nice bed, and with a possibility to heat water for a cup of tea or coffee. We could not hear any noise from the street - which is amazing for such a central place. The subway was very close - but it is also convenient just to walk to the various sightseeing places in the Center of Berlin.

Arrived at 10pm - not a problem. Easy for taxi to locate considering taxi driver did not speak any English as "Park Plaza, Wallstrasse im Mitte" is easy to understand and say. Friendly staff who were happy to speak English and able to joke with me about how bad my German was. Got upgraded to a junior executive room. Very tasty food from hotel restaurant. Very friendly bar staff. Marc was a cool dude who explained the different beers they had to offer. Room very clean. Bed fresh and comfortable with fluffy pillows. Enjoyed the quirky interior design scheme. Bathroom very clean, great shower, complimentary consumables well stocked and of good quality. Great shower pressure. Breakfast was 12 euro's per person, however food was actually of high quality and fresh with plenty on offer to choose from. Location in between 2 U bahn stations within 2 minutes walk. Easy to get to all parts of Berlin. On quiet street. Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the best accom we had during our month in europe, and cheaper that a few of them as well.

I can say enough about my stay @ this hotel!!! A perfect location, situated between Alexanderplatz & Fredrichstrasse......the Ubahn station is seconds away from the hotel!! As for the staff, the service was excellent!!! From the food to needing extra towels/sugar/tea......nothing was a problem for them!!! I would highly recommend this hotel!!!

Overall, we had a great stay here. Room was comfortable, only complaint would be room cleaning in the morning was very thorough - night before room service plates still there and new cups/tea/coffee weren't placed in room. Still a great hotel and would stay again.

The location is very good, U2 station right there, walkable to Museum Island and other things. Al the staff are friendly and helpful, but some of them really know their stuff while others try to help, but don't really know quite what they are doing. We were their a week so it was easy to know who to ask for restaurant recommendations. We never had a bad meal anywhere actually. The room is nice enough, small, but has pretty much what you need including the coffee machine which was well hidden in the closet. People have complained in other reviews about the lack of privacy in the bathroom, which is a problem if you are not quite intimate with your roommate. There is only a glass door so no separate room for sink, toilet and shower, but it is a nice bathroom nevertheless. Biggest complaint would be the food is quite expensive, breakfast ridiculously so, the menu is a little strange and limited. This maybe partly to do with the Wall Street them of the place and trying to make the menu items fit that theme. The food is well prepared though (never did the breakfast) and you get 5% off if you belong to the Carlson group frequent guest program which they are happy to sign you up for. It is also ironic that this hotel is in the former East Berlin with this Wall Street theme which includes a picture in back of the front desk of men catching money as it rains down from the air a, dollar bill rug in the room, and ticker tape rugs in the hallway rugs, and a motto of the bed which says, "Buy stocks and go to sleep for a long time." The place is a veritable shrine to capitalism!

I traveled to Berlin, my first time, for leisure and stayed here because a friend of mine travelingn from another state who met me in Berlin was staying here. I was very happy with the stay. The entire staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel (although in a very residential neighborhood) is centrally located with two metro stops within a block each. It made it super easy to get to all of the sites. I have to rant & rave about the shower water pressure. If you're like me, there's nothing better than waking up and taking a hot shower with strong watter pressure to wake you up! This was phenomenal (and I've traveled extensively for business and pleasure). I've never experienced anything like this shower...it alone was worth the stay! The only downside to this hotel is also it's location. There are no restaurants, convenience stores (for water) or any retail places for that matter in the vicinity. That makes it difficult to have choices when it comes to eating breakfast for example or when you want to pick up some water (we all know how terribly expensive a bottle of water is at a hotel). Overall, however, it's still a 9/10 on my scale. I would highly recommend it!

Friendly, convenient, great room. Needs a little soundproofing to stop sound from doors closing and people in the courtyard. But definitely a very nice place to stay.

A great boutique hotel. The rooms are airy and spacious - we were upgraded to an excutive room - and the staff very friendly. A tube station is very close, so easy to get around and get to and from the airport.

I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, the staff are all very bubbly and friendly. The hotel is only a few steps away from the U-Bahn which is fantastic for sight seeing. You don't need a car in Berlin. My husband and I will return again one day

It was a very clean and neat room (though the rug was not in my taste). Subway station is very close and conveniet to get around in Berlin. There is only shower in the bath-room, and I would have been appreciated with a bath-tub, as I stayed four-days long (and of course I as a Japanese).

The hotel was generally very nice and comfortable, however the pillows were very small, and the glass wall of the shower was so close to the lavatory that I kept walking into it by accident, particularly in the middle of the night with the lights off.

Bathroom was huge with a lovely bath, and loved the 100 dollar bill print on the rug in our room! Staff went over and above to help us out with little things (like finding a plaster when my boyfriend stubbed his toe!), and were v friendly.

Easy access to all tourist and city centre locations and U-bahn and S-bahn, but in a pleasantly quiet location. Excellent room layout and bathroom - all very modern and spacious. Chose not to eat in hotel as b'fast not included, but bar/dining room etc looked very good. Lots of local cafes etc. Definitely recommended!

Nice hotel at good rate. Rate low for Facilities because both elevators were out of order at least twice during our 4-day stay. Heating went wrong too on first day of arrival and we had to change room after just unpacked. Otherwise very good location, clean, and powerful shower.
