ENjoyed the stay thoroughly. Five star hotel , great location and ameneties, extremely courteous and helpful staff who speak English. Only gripe is that it is a little pricey.

Pros - clean, modern hotel with comfortable rooms - WiFi and Ethernet is included in the room and public areas - responsive Hotel staff - lots of shopping and restaurants nearby Cons - wished the hotel restaurant stayed open a little later

Although overshadowed by it's fancier sister hotel, The Regent, Park Plaza Wangfujing is probably the smarter choice. Well appointed and comfortably large rooms(stayed at a deluxe room), flat screen tv with a good selection of channels, comfortable bed and very well maintained rooms makes it a great choice. The hotel is a ten to fifteen minute walk from the Wangfujing pedestrian shopping street as well as the Donghuamen and Wangfujing snack street. The Dengshikou subway station is a 1 minute walk away, making it a breeze to travel around the city, especially during dizzy rush-hour traffic in Beijing when you don't want to be caught in a jam traveling via cab or bus. It may lack the 5-star finesse of The Regent, but makes up for it with great rooms and excellent service staff; and at around 30% cheaper than The Regent it's probably your best choice when in Beijing.

Everything on our 3 day visit worked out surprisingly well, with the exception that I left feeling that the upgrade I was sold on arrival (better room/facilties) did not prove to be particularly good value for money.

The majority of the staff were pleasant and wanted to be helpful however one of the staff on the front counter appeared to harassed to spend the time to answer queries.
