We stayed here for our honeymoon. We thought it would be indulgent given that it's a Sheraton hotel. We were disappointed - the hotel was quite old and tired and is in desperate need of a refurb. We ended up paying for an upgrade to an executive suite that still fell below expectations. The location, however, was fantastic. A quick walk to Green Square station and it's also very close to Picadilly Circus.

The good: location very close to green park station, bed was comfortable and reception was kind enough to send us a mini bottle of champagne for our honeymoon. Concierge also was quick to advise us of the delivery of a letter we were expecting. The bad: The hotel is old and in desperate need of renovation. We originally booked a classic room but upon seeing the state of the bathroom, we paid the 48 pound per night upgrade to an executive suite. The bathroom in the suite was renovated but the room itself felt quite old and musty. Buffet breakfast was horrible - soggy hash browns, bland sausages. Verdict: won't be staying there again!

Great location. Tea/bar room is beautiful. The lobby is very underwhelming. The rooms are large for European syandards with very comfy beds. The bathrooms are definitely 3-4 star quality, no where near 5 star quality that they claim. The conceriergevand bell staff were lovely and helpful. The desk staff could use a lot of improvement in customer service, they were often rude. They claimed that only one of our 2 room reservation was prepaid, which makes no sense. I had to show proof of payment both upon arrival and departure. Then they asked if we wanted and upgrade, when we said yes, they proceeded to let us know it would be 40 pounds extra a day per room. Upon return to the hotel 4 days later, the put us in a room with a double bed even though my reservation was for a king bed.

This hotel was a disappointment. I deliberately picked out an expensive hotel assuming most reasonable costs would be covered in the 300 + Australian dollars per night we paid to stay there. Also happy to pay for internet to the room at any reasonable cost, but, 6pounds for 1MB was ridiculous. 13pounds for 2 cups of tea and 4 biscuits, come on. Service and location were great but next time in London, back to the average priced hotels.
