"Excellent hotel and service although while booking I must have made a mistake as I thought I had booked breakfast. Very helpful receptionist and dining room staff. GORGEOUS fire in lounge!"

"The hotel is an ideal location for Shannon airport, if you arrive late at night or need to fly out very early in the morning, as it is literally 5 minutes walk away. This is really the only true recommendation for the hotel, and the only reason why it is so expensive. The rooms are small, and the bathrooms in dire need of renovation (renovations have been started so perhaps this will be addressed in the near future). There are no lifts and lots of stairs, and as most of the hotel rooms can only be accessed in this way, it is torture if you have heavy bags or a child's pram to contend with. The staff are not particularly friendly, and not very keen to help you transport your luggage if you have the misfortune of not being assigned a room on the ground floor. The breakfast is bland, and of poor quality (luke warm fatty hot dishes), white, processed sliced bread, almost nothing nutritious in sight. The fitness room is a ca. 10 x 10m room with weights in it."

"Hotel about to refurbish plumbing - currently takes an age to run hot water. However, staff most willing to change room, very charming. A bit disappointing that an Irish hotel doesn't have real brown bread (or scones) for breakfast. They need to expand their hot beverages to hot chocolate and a variety of herbal drinks. Their pleasant manner makes up for all deficiencies"

"I was flying out of shannon airport at 8 in morn so hotel was perfect for that need. If flying out of Shannon again I would definately go back, however for a break away I would not reccommend. "
