Looks like they are having work done at the moment and was a bit messy.This place is better on the inside because the outside lets it down,but still close to everything and enjoyed the stay

Courteous welcome, comfortable room, bathroom facilities excellent, hearty breakfast - very good value for money. Very well located for sightseeing in York.

Location is a short walk from train station and easy walking distance to everything inside the city wall including York Minster and the market. We would stay here on any future visit to York.
