I stayed here for one day and almost wanted to change the hotel in the first 10 minutes. This hotel is not what it's advertised as. The hotel is very dark and grey, almost scary. This has to be the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. There's no room to move around, and barely any room for luggage. The room was freezing and the hotel said they can't turn the heat on. The bathroom had mold growing around the sink which stained my clothes. eventually the hotel moved me to another room which was not much better, but had less mold. This hotel was recommended by the website and as advertised it's a 3 star hotel. it's not and the hotel is not even rated. Apart from the convenient location on times square, this hotel is not worth the money paid for it.

I had truly looked forward to going to this hotel as I have admired their photos for quite sometime. The lobby looked beautiful in the photos..... in person, it's a whole other story as the lobby is "under construction" which is something they neglect to mention in their web site. I originally booked through an online site, and my debit card had a hold put on it of 238 dollars. When I checked out I opted instead to pay in cash for the bill, but only after I had inquired when they would release my funds on my debit card. They informed me that upon check out the hold would be immediately released. As I have been using my bank for quite a long time, I know that normally once a release has been done, my funds are normally available within an hour, and I travel at a minimum of 9 days out of the month, with a maximum of 20 days, so I am very familiar with how holds and releases and my own bank work. The next day when I checked my online banking account I noticed the funds had not yet been released. I inquired with the front desk about this and was assured that the hold had been lifted. 2 days later the hold was still there so I contacted my bank a d they informed me that the hotel had never contacted them to release the hold. I then contacted the hotel and they asked for my banks number as well as my own, promised to look into it and get back to me, now it's another 2 days later and the hotel has still NOT released my funds and my bank has informed me that the hotel NEVER contacted them to release my funds. So after paying in full for my room with cash, 6 days later they are STILL holding onto my funds. All I can say is thank God that I had enough money on me to be able to make my travel arrangements home or else I would be stuck on the streets of NYC trying t find a way home. Now maybe 238 dollars is not a lot to some people, in this economy, and especially if you are a person that stayed at a hotel on this price point, it's more than likely you just don't have an extra 238 dollars to just spare for a few days, much less a week! To top things off, I travel for work and needed that money to be able to travel to work and now can't get to work to earn an income. Absolutely ridiculous and 100% unacceptable, even more so in the way that they have handled the situation.

The rate for this hotel is proportional to its proximity to the centre of manhattan . The rooms are quite small, no chairs, or desk let alone a sofa. If you don't have to spend time in the room, it's okay. There is no place for bags.

Very ordinary room and a bit small but very clean. It is a great deal considering the location is a half a block from time square. Really a small trade off so overall a great deal for the money.

This is my second time staying at the Paramount. I love the friendly and helpful staff. The location and cleanliness is also very appealing. I will stay here when I am in town again on business. Thank you

I stayed once before and thought if I upgraded to a "renovated king" it would make a difference. They need to raze this building and start from scratch. Oh, and they should probably take their pretentious, attitude and too cool for school smug on their staffers face with it! It's sad...................

The room is a fair size at this price point and location in NY. It was clean and contemporary. The rest of the hotel is too, the lobby is hip and inviting, the hotel bars are good. At check-in the clerk noticed my 6'1" stature and upgraded me to a bigger bed! I will stay her again.

If you just need a place to sleep overnight in mid-town, this is it... searching on Orbitz etc. I always find a good price for the Broadway Classic room. Quiet, clean, plenty of hot water! Skip any bed smaller than the queen size... some of the smaller beds are like tiny day beds...

If your going for a quick trip or a weekend stay then this is the place to stay.. It's right close by to a subway stop, very easy to get from JFK to subway to here ! If your going to see shows then you have them all around this hotel, It was a great location for the price you pay, The rooms are small but they are no different really from any other hotel I've stayed in while in NYC. I will stay there again !

great location if you like being in the middle of it all. Broadway close by, walking distance to musicals, restaurants and bars. Nice hotel, good fitness room, rooms for single people very small.

I stayed at the Paramount to see a show on Broadway, one that was conveniently down the block and around the corner. I enjoyed the room, the view, it's proximity to all things exciting, the hotel bar and the staff enough to stay there again the next time I'm in Manhattan, whether I have Broadway tickets or not. The lobby is extravagant and when you get off the elevator, each floor is greated with futuristic "weather mirrors." To understand what that is or why it's worth mentioning in a review, you're just going to have to book a room there.

Hotel is in a great location if you're interested in staying in the Times Square area. Room is very small as well as the bathroom. Was only really there to sleep. Great great location though! Lobby is very modern, as if you were walking into a club.

Would have highly recommended apart from screaming clients a couple of doors away who made sleep impossible for two nights in a row. A call to Security shut them up once - but not effectively. Shame as this is a cute hotel, in a good location and reasonably priced.

Criticisms only! Toilet in our room was very badly positioned and definitely needed repositioning. Double bed was too small for a comfortable sleep with two persons.
