The staff and grounds were very nice but the food was to be desired. The lunch offerings were minimal. The Reserve section offers a better room and a nice pool but is described differently than what it actually is. I would go back to Punta Cana but I would try another resort because I was not blown away.

Beach was spectacular and grounds beautiful with mature trees and a great variation of foliage. Food was good, Buffets were the best. But beware, our "conceirge" nagged us endlessly to sit for a 90 min consultation for a time share with the promise of a spa coupon at the end. We gave in just to shut him up and walked out after we realized it was a scam. later we met a poor couple who were duped into buying it a few years back and were extremely regretful. We never saw that coupon. Vendors and hawkers are all over the beach but a firm "no" worked. Others on the resort didn't have the experience with the conceirge, but do be wary. Again, great variety of food, many of the bartenders were great, the beaches were fantastic, but the nagging was enough to drive us insane.

If you want to just relax by the pool or on the beach then you could do worse than this all-inclusive. The resort has a lot of restaurants and while not great the food is decent at most. Best to stay in the Reserve - rooms are bigger and more 'plush'. Lots of families with younger children.

The location and rooms are great but some of the restaurants need a "refreshment" in decoration. Food was great at half of the restaurants we ate at, the rest was very basic. Breakfast definitely needs to improve! We booked a scuba diving trip and they had us waiting for an hour AT 6AM! We would have appreciated some information during the wait, I don't get up that early if I don't have to.

The landscape and cleanliness was amazing, beautiful views everywhere! The staff was friendly and curteous. The AC was not working well in our original room, so they quickly moved us to a room with working AC. My only reccomendation would be more variety at breakfast, by the end of the week it was getting old. All in all it was a great week and I would gladly return.

Amazing. We stayed at the Reserve, the staff were incredible and the hotel and surroundings were stunning. Our only complaint would be that nightime activities could be a little more varied, everything had shut down by 11pm on Saturday.

we went here for our honeymoon and really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and was accurately presented in the photos on the website. There were no bad surprises on our arrival. We did stay at the reserve which seemed to be nicer but it is the furthest from the beach. The food was decent and there was a good bit of selection for everyone. The bars were excellent. The staff was excellent and so friendly. I do not know if I were to do it again I would go back for a honeymoon. It is more of a family resort than honeymoon and they do not really do anything to makit a special experience as we heard other resorts do (while talking with people in the airport). Overall, worth the money.

So I booked my flight, hotel and round trip ground transport to and from the airport to the resort via the "O" travel website that seems to censor its name in commentary. Flight vía Copa Airlines was great. No issues. Friendly staff. On time departures/arrivals. The ground transport was a complete debacle. I paid on line. When I got to the airport in Punta Cana, there was no record of my payment ten though I clearly had evidence and the code. So I paid on line. Then I had to pay a cab driver to take me to the resort I booked (which was twice what I paid for round trip on line). He took me to the wrong resort with the same name!!! I had to then get another cab to take me to the correct resort...had to pay for that too. So I have now paid 3 times for the same Cab ride. I get to the resort too late to eat or grab a drink anywhere because of this ridiculous run around. I vowed to never use the "O" travel website that seems to censor its name in commentary again at that point. So I get to the hotel, and the hotel tells me I have to have a voucher because they do not have evidence that I paid online. I gave them the codes. They reluctantly gave me a room, and asked me to clear it up in the AM. My room had a sandy floor, a remote that did not match the TV, no WiFi, and again all restaurants were closed. What a terrible first impression coming off of that ground transport ordeal. I go to sleep. I go to the ground agent representative for the "O" travel website that seems to censor its name in commentary the very next morning, Fernando. I give him all of my information including all the "O" travel website that seems to censor its name in commentary confirmation #s, amounts I paid to the "O" travel website that seems to censor its name in commentary and cab drivers, etc. Fernando has my information literally for about 5 hours while I leave for a meeting. Fernando fumbles around with it all and accomplishes nothing and can only half heartedly apologize. I go to the front desk clerk at the hotel who is incredibly nice. I cannot remember her name, but she called the VIP service at the "O" travel website that seems to censor its name in commentary and had my room and my transport back to the airport taken care of in about 5 minutes. She was the saving grace of Paradisus as far as I am concerned. Does not make up for the fact that I paid for ground transport 3 times. Nor that the room experience was not good at all, but at least I left on a positive note. In fairness, the experience was completely marred by the ground transportation issue. I would likely go back to Paradisus...not for a business trip, but perhaps for a trip with the wife. The "O" travel website that seems to censor its name in commentary really failed me. I have never had such an issue with other sites, and I travel all of the time internationally. So it goes...

If you and your family value great dining as part of a family vacation, stay away from this hotel. Room Service was HORRIBLE, the fine dining restaurants were all too dark and portions were extremely small. And the buffet nearly killed us as we suffered from food poisoning. The nightly entertainment was a joke too. They poorly lip sync songs often not knowing the words as well as male dancers dropping female dancers. I think high school performers put on a better show. There were rain storms that flooded the grounds and we had to climb in and out of trucks to get around the site. I'm in my 30's but the for the elderly that's ridiculous. And all the while the hotel staff are only interested in making you part of their "vacation club", "it's not a time share".

This resort was absolutely wonderful. From the multiple restaurants, pools, nightclubs, and beach areas, to the happiest staff we've ever encountered...it was all wonderful! We thought that since it is an all inclusive, that the food and drinks might be low-quality, but they were all top-notch! The food was unbelievably good! They really cater to every need. My young sister enjoyed it just as much as my 85 year old grandfather! They had many options in the wedding packages - just great! There really isn't a way to convey to you how great it is! We cannot wait to go back!

I had a marvelous time at Paradisus Punta Cana and I didn't want to leave! This is hands down the best Punta Cana resort I've been to and I would go back in a heartbeat. All the employees were extremely attentive and friendly. We stayed in the Reserve area because of a complimentary upgrade and it was well worth it because of the quality of the suite. The resort was spectacular! It has a sophisticated feel without disturbing the natural beauty of its surroundings. The gardens with exotic tropical flora, the decorations, the artwork, the wonderfully scented lobby -- every single detail was taken into account when designing this place. I would love to meet the landscape architects who planned out the gardens to thank them for offering us a slice of heaven! It really feels like a true paradise. The beach was absolutely breathtaking. The beach chairs and beds are so comfortable! The only thing about the beach is I was expecting more tranquil waters, but this beach has more waves than I expected. More likes: 1) A lot of water sports are included with your resort package -- snorkeling, catamaran ride, etc. 2) At the Reserve you can have drinks brought to you while you're laying on the sand, without having to get up and grab them at the bar. Talk about five star! 3) The entertainment shows are of a very high quality. Top dancers, singers and all-around performers. 4) The club/disco looks like an upscale lounge. Going back to the people who work there, the customer service was exceptional. The phrase most heard from staff was "my pleasure" and they really made you feel like it was a pleasure for them to serve you and show you a good time. Tips: 1) If you want to be as close to the beach as possible, make sure you say that when you book. Beware, the Reserve rooms are beautiful but farther away from the beach. 2) Bring your own toiletries. The ones provided in the room dry out your skin and are of a poor quality.
