It took three hours to get to this place, using a hotel shuttle group ....... But that is another story. I paid $500 a night, expecting a degree of luxury and resort qualities. This place does not even provide the most basic of hotel services - daily room servicing. There are no resort services at all. No restaurant, no bar, no massage services, no luxury accommodation, etc. It consists of a group of shacks (ala Mchales Navy). No carpet, old decor and in real need of repair and renewal. The units are dark and smelly. Noise from adjoining units easily penetrates through. The beds are squeaky and old. Totally unfriendly for the elderly and those with a disability as there are 35 steep steps to take to get to some rooms and the bay. No shops nearby and the taxi fare to the city is $60. The shower and toilet were not cleaned when we checked in. In summary, a total disaster. Would have been better off spending $500 a night in a five star hotel in Honolulu. Give this dump a miss!

This is hidden in amongst houses in a "real" neighborhood. Views are wonderful from the private lanai--looking out toward a bay inlet and the striking mountains. We borrowed their canoes for a nice paddle around the bay.

We are from Lake Tahoe which as most know is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. We chose Paradise Bay Resort after checking out their website and reading about the tropical location, great views and being True Hawaii! It is all that and more. The staff was excellent and made us feel at home. The location and views were exactly as described with beautiful mountain ranges, the island, tropical birds and the bay. We woke up to beautiful bird songs in the morning and finished with beautiful sunsets in the evening, it is a very romantic and relaxing place. Our room was really nice. It was just remodeled with wood floors, nice kitchen and great big lanai. We never wanted to leave the lanai. They have a free boat excursion on Saturday which we will never forget we only wish it went out more often. We will definitely be back next year .
