As a female traveling alone, I found the hotel felt safe and secure. The staff were all lovely, and the food good and generous. (One serve of curry or mezzi would probably serve two people and was only about $10 Aus.) There is a 24 hour construction site nearby which was quite noisy, it will be better when that is finished.

There was a club in the hotel called "South Indian Night Club" which did not finish until 3am. The music was very loud and kept me awake until it closed. Then there was much shouting in the street. The breakfast was mainly curries - which as a European I do not eat for breakfast. The hotel receptionist misinformed me about the availability of taxis and tried to persuade me to take a very expensive hotel car.

As in most places, but especially in Dubai, you get what you pay for. This is a good budget hotel - clean, efficient, with good breakfast. It is located within walking distance from Central Deira and the bus from/to the Airport stops outside the door. What more could you want?
