Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver
5 out of 5

We stayed in this hotel two nights before boarding on Alaska cruise. We could see ships coming and going from our room window and ship boarding was just at the basement of the hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The free shuttle for excursion was at the door. The hotel was perfect for us.

We stayed at the Pan Pacific Hotel for two nights post cruise. We paid extra for the harbour view and it is well worth it. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the view sensational in the fine weather that we experienced. The only slight downside is the noise from the floatplanes taking off from 7.00 am to about 7.00 pm. However, they are fascinating to watch and you are not usually in the room after breakfast anyway. We took a floatplane trip and it is highly recommended. Take the one hour trip to the mountains with a lake or fiord landing. Fairly expensive but worth it. You won't see anything like it otherwise. The air conditioning is fine and the bathroom and amenities are also good. Comfortable bed. The location is very good right on the harbour and an easy walk to the gaslight area. The hop-on-Hop- off bus is right outside the door, also very good. The staff were extremely helpful, especially the concierge. A very enjoyable stay. I doubt that we would stay anywhere else in Vancouver in future.

We stayed at the Pan Pacific the night before our repositioning cruise left for Los Angeles. Definitely a five star hotel. We upgraded for $50 to a room that was on the 12th floor, directly over the pool, and awoke to a Princess Cruise Ship right outside our window and great views of all the harbour activity. The staff at the desk was very friendly. We arrived early and spent some time waiting in the lounge that overlooks the harbour, rooms were ready AT 4pm, as advertised, but not before. Food and drinks are quite expensive, but as others had posted, we found Rick's (Ricky's?) Diner down in the food court to be a great place for dinner and breakfast. Rooms and beds had all the amenities one could ask for, Would stay here again, especially at the price we paid through Orbitz.

Our cruise from Anchorage (Whittier) to Vancouver was great . The Pan Pacific Hotel was just wonderful . When the ship docked and we got our bags , it was a short walk in the same building to our hotel . Our room was very nice with a view that offered many pictures . Everything we needed and wanted to see was within walking distance of our hotel . To get to the airport we used the skytrain that was only a few blocks away and even with bags was still walking distance .

Wonderful hotel located in the most scenic part of the city. Walking along the harbor front and enjoying dinner while looking out over the harbour to the mountains beyond was lovely. Outdoor pool is great, although an indoor one for rainy days would be a plus. All in all, great value at a terrific hotel.

We were very pleasantly surprised at the level of service offered by the Pan Pacific. We had just visited Las Vegas & found the friendliness of the staff and the level of service way above that offered in Las Vegas. Even when asking for a jug of milk at 3 am, it was outside the room almost immediately. The hotel's location is superb, oberlooking the waterfront and Stanley Park. When we return to Vancouver, we would not wish to stay anywhere else.
