The location of the Palace is perfect, walking distance to markets, The Rex, the Tax Centre. Make sure you book a superior room so you have a little balcony. Great little outdoor bar and pool on top floor.

Comfortable , friendly and clean in an ideal location. Nothing much to complain except the techno noise from a dance club somewhere in the hotel on a Saturday night.

My room was excellent, bathroom was modern and clean. Cannot fault the room except TV channels! However the service at the breakfast was non-existent. Staff could not care less about you. Food was ok but nothing special. I would definitely stay there again for the great location and very comfortable rooms but avoid the breakfasts! Staff in all other locations were very helpful.

Better than expected, particularly if you enjoy disco music in your room through the night! Staff speak English and are helpful. On the whole, this is a decent place to stay for a reasonable budget.

Stayed on 6th floor; room, view, location and service fantastic - however very noisy ( nightclub on lower floor until 2am - however we were warned. ) upper floors would not have this problem. Make sure you book on line - as earlier that day we were quoted double the price and told there were no rooms available by reception. Roof top bar and pool were great as was Fusions resteraunt. would definately stay again, but on upper floors.

For Low level floors is too noisy due to traffic and discotec, so if they install the sound protection penal will be one of very good hotel.

Good hotel in a great location. Well worth the money. Why spend a lot of money on hotel rooms in Saigon when all you need a room for is sleeping. Overall the staff was good except for a few who seemed to be day dreaming most of the time. I didn't care much for the breakfast. Very basic for Vietnam. I ate at some of the nearby restaurants for brunch or lunch. Overall I would say that my stay there was good. I will probably stay there again on my return visit to Vietnam. The Palace Hotel is located in a great location.

The Palace Hotel is a good place for the money. The restaurant on the rooftop is nice and has a good view of the river. The morning buffet has a good mixture of Western and Vietnamese food. Hotel personnel was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the service was excellent. I would recommend this hotel for the price. There are better and more expensive hotels but for the price the Palace is a good choice.

I cancelled the second night due to the bad condition of the room. It was on the third floor of the old building. The air conditioning was turned off (if no occupier, I guess!) that made the room smelt terrible. I moved to another hotel. Paying a little bit more, you can get a very, very much better quality...

The Palace Hotel is good value for money. It''s probably not a back-packer hotel but also it''s definately not too expensive. It''s a good comfortable hotel for those people who want somewhere clean, central and middle-of-the-road price wise. The breakfast like others have said could be better. It was the same every morning and if you came just before the end items were not replaced.

The facilities were OK, the pool was open but it''s very small and closes at 5pm. The pool bar adjacent was not open which I thought was odd for the time of year. The staff were fine but not overly courteous, they didn''t keep out passports which was good.

The hotel is very central and right in the middle of the tourist shopping area which is the street running directly behind the hotel. It''s a stones throw from the river, the town hall and the opera house and you can walk to all the major attractions easily. Vietnam Air and Saigon Tourist are both at the end of the street.
