Location
Being right by the beach and the boardwalk, the Pacific Shores Inn is conveniently located in the heart of San Diego. The hotel is set in most action-packed area with over two and a half miles of shops, restaurants, nightlife and plenty of places to run, jog, roller blade, bike ride and people watch.
All 59 rooms and suites at the hotel are well decorated and equipped with several modern amenities.

Fantastic location! Very large room 20 seconds from the boardwalk & beach. Small kitchenette in room, friendly staff, pool! So close to the heart of PB. Everything is a walk or bike ride away.

My girlfriends and I were looking for a convenient and inexpensive place to stay in PB over Memorial Day Weekend and Pacific Shores Inn was perfect for what we needed. The bathrooms could have been a bit larger, and our sink clogged up a bit, but the location is fantastic (quick walk to the beach) and very close to all the bars/restaurants. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The price could have been a bit lower considering the amenities, but it worked out well considering the high travel weekend. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone who is looking for something easy and friendly.

This is a modest, solid little Inn in a great location. I was there during a record storm, resulting in parts of trees in the swimming pool, outdoor furniture blown off the balcony, and nearby flash floods. Some parts of the complex were sandbagged to prevent flooding, but our room was on the 2nd floor with a peek of the stormy ocean. As a result of the weather it was difficult to enjoy the outside amenities and the great location (just off the beach) as I might have otherwise. The room itself was OK, but understably I felt trapped there. The heater in the room did not work, but the desk, in an effort to be accomodating under difficult circumstances, provided us with a portable heater. I'd like to return in better weather. Free parking was nice in this area, where parking is generally at a premium.

The staff was very nice and accomodating- the hotel was one block from the beach but the website made it look fancier than it really was- it was clean and served its purpose. I would stay there again-

I wasn't expecting much based on the sketchy reviews I'd read. But we were pleasantly surpised. The room was very large and clean. With the air conditioner on we had no problem with noise at night. We were very pleased with our experience. The only negative was a weird half wall for the shower which wihc meant the floor got wet and it took 5 minutes for the shower to warm up each morning.
