Pacific Grove Inn Guest Reviews
Convenient to start of race. Good places to eat nearby. Nice breakfast provided in the morning (after the race).

The staff is awesome. They go out of their way to help you and make your stay enjoyable. The hotel was built in 1904 - so as you should expect the rooms are on the smaller side - as was the bathroom. The room was very clean and tidy. The only fault I could find is the window coverings (a nite shade and drapes) had seen better days and need replacing. The hotel is cozy and it was fun interacting with other guests at breakfast time. I would recommend this hotel - a great value!

If you're going to talk about warm cookies being set out at 8pm, make sure they are not stale grocery store seconds - do it right with fresh from the oven or local-store-goodness... or don't bother. The coffee was terrible and the breakfast was very "Best Western continental" - really out of place for a B&B. When offered frittata and I asked for one for myself and my daughter, the lady said, "well is she going to eat it?" Wow, that was tacky and inappropriate. I received a similar luke-warm response at check-in. It's a pretty neat old property that, while humble, could still be something special if it wasn't being run like a slum.

The location was great, centrally located and easy walking distance to beach or the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
