Sometimes you visit a hotel & think to yourself, " this is great, but if only they could have had this, or added that". Not on this occasion.. This hotel had everything. From an ideal location, fantastic amenities, beautiful surroundings, picture postcard pool, wonderful tropical gardens loaded with iconic coconut palms overlooking the beach with the mountains in the background for the sun to set behind as you have your dinner around 3 meters from the beach. You've got instant access to water sports or the helpful staff can plan your activities or tours for you. It was just like that image we all have in our minds about a great tropical location.

Third time at PK Penang, and it is always the same, best service, best breakfast, big comfy room. Partial ocean view, not really from second floor, can't see much except next door rooftops. Best to ask for room away from mosque if you don't want 6amish wake up call! Didn't worry us too much. Rooms quiet otherwise. We will go back there if in Penang. oh and the pools, perfect. Oh and ecstatic hour, cocktails, perfect.

overall a lovely hotel set out very spaciously right on the beach.Pools are refreshing & the big slide was a hit with all ages. nearby restaurants on the beach and nearby offered excellent choices of local and international cuisine at good prices.Service was attentive and extremely friendly- all in keeping with a relaxed, luxury resort theme.

Very friendly staff and room service was excellent. The hotel is clean except that smoking zone was very close to the room we stayed. The breakfast was very good. We had booked the ocean view room, but hotel could not accommadate us. Only after requesting, they organised to give us on the next day, still the view was not what we had asked. We had booked for kingsize bed and they were not able to cater for that. Otherwise their service was excellent.

Yes it was 20 years ago. It was new and clean and cosy but it is now "past glory" like most places in Penang. The lobby and pool area look no different but maybe the rooms have been slightly refurbished, thanks God! This shows the typical Penang feeling: rundown, old fashioned. Nothing in Penang seems to keep up with other Asian holiday destinations apart from the terrible traffeic jams..... Malaysia Truly Asia?
