Reception desk unfriendly. Noise of renovations loud at times. Room decoration dull. Bed comfortable, view quite good, bathroom clean and bedroom spacious but had no drawers for clothes at all. Teamaking facilities and complimentary paper. Value for money - only alright. Within easy walk to Darling Harbour.

Just arrived back from overseas and had late night book-in so really appreciated the friendly staff who greeted us and took charge of our luggage. Very easy to walk to everything from here.....actually perfect for those spending time exploring Sydney and especially Darling Harbour. The room was spacious with a very nice ensuite featuring a separate bath and shower.Wish we had been able to stay longer.Staff could not be faulted for their attention and friendliness. Congratulations!

I agree the construction is temporary, but they should have told us this when we were booking. I partially blame Rates2Go for this. After 22 hours of flight time we were put in a room literally with a 20 foot unobstructed path to a jackhammer pounding the floor inside of the hotel. We could hardly hear each other speak, nonetheless relax. They eventually moved us, but it too much explaining and asking on our part. Also, chose the hotel partially since they have a gym, but it was closed and their "alternative" required that I pay $15 a day to a local gym. Maybe it will be nicer by the time you go there!

This hotel was ideally situated to visit the Darling Harbour, Chinatown and city shopping precincts. The hotel staff were attentive and very helpful.

The hotel was close to Darling Harbour and all its attractions, and the room had a lovely view. However, there was hair and dirt in the bath. The helpfulness of the staff was mixed - our positive experience of one helpful valet brimming with tourist information was balanced out by the negative experience of a messed-up booking, either a fault of the website or the hotel itself, whereby a clearly marked party of three had been assigned a two-person room and were then charged exhorbitantly for the trundle bed. This was quite ordinary value for money. We won't stay here again.

It's so closer to darling harbour children play ground, it's really fun for kids; closer to China town / city for enjoying meals & shops; clean room & comfortable big beds.

The hotel has been renovated, and the rooms are just divine. I love the small finishing touches, such as a night light you can turn on when you have to get up to go to the toilet in the middle of the night, and does not blind you, it's a discreet light under the bedside table. Love the shower rose - finally a shower where I do not have to run around to get wet. It is a big shower rose and was absolutely the best shower I have ever had. Finally a hotel listening to us business travelers.

The location is great for walking between CBD locations and Darling Harbour. However more difficult if trying to get there by car. Very comfortable and would stay there again. Great new refurbishment.

My husband and I were guests from August 26th -28th, 2012. We found the courtesy and helpfulness of staff more than compensated for the renovations underway, The latter made comment on facilities difficult. However, as my husband suffers from multiple disabilities, I hope you have included facilities for the disabled in your revamp plans. There is a need for rails in bathrooms and towels need to be accessible. Stairs need to have wheel chair access. Fortunately the effect of a lack of sufficient ramps in the dining room was minimized by the alert helpful staff. We would love to stay again. Sincerely Dr Rosemary Kerr. PS. A little less salt in the food please folks.

The hotel is in a fantastic location. It is about a 2 minute walk to the fun and adventures on Darling Harbour, but also in the CBD. If you walk away from the harbour you are very close to Sussex Street, Town Hall (which is also a train station) and Pitt Street. Everything is walking distance. The hotel itself is very clean. The bed was comfortable, especially the doona was great! The lookout was not the best, it was mainly freeway and IMAX but that is because we stayed in a city view room and it wasn't bad anyway. You could still see the beautiful lights at night. The bathroom has to be my favourite! It was all marble and beautiful...the gym was also great. It was small but had the basics, just what i needed! They were doing renovations while I was there but it was so quiet and I can't imagine how great it will be to stay there once they are complete. The TV was a flatscreen, could have been a bit bigger but that is probably because I am used to watching large plasmas. They had foxtel which was also a bonus! in conclusion would stay again, only downside was that I am a smoker so I had to go downstairs to smoke for no rooms have balconies. Great stay!

A simple business trip and a one night stay. I was made to feel very special on the "Orchid" Level 9 with drinks/canapes in the evening. Also a fantastic breakfast - I am still full! They were fine about me leaving my car until 5pm after checkout. Well done ParkRoyal - I'll be back.
