Location
Outback Pioneer Lodge is just 6 km from the airport. It's a 10 minute walk to Ayers Rock Resort Information Centre museum and nature exhibit, and to the Resort Shopping Centre with shopping, food outlets, and Rock Photographics. Nearby Mulgara Gallery at the Sails in the Desert Hotel sells and displays jewellery, Aboriginal pottery, painting, glass work and more.

basic rooms, but low prices comparing with the other hotels in Uluru.

4-bed dorms are a bit spartan and small (no lockers or bed lights) but clean. kitchen is ok, toilets and showers also. the whole problem with this place is that it's a monopoly that's why the inflated price.

The rooms are very basic, simply hold 2 bunk beds, blankets not even provided Shared toilet and shower block, quite inconvenient Shared kitchen, public eating space, bar and live music were nice features. Overall, has the feel of a back-packer hostel, great to get the chance to meet other travellers but not what was expected for that price.
