I reserved and paid for a signature room, but I am not sure why I received a free downgrade. It was not located on the top three floors of the hotel. It has absolutely no views, other than into the windows of the neighboring rooms and adjacent building. There were no iHome docking station or Nespresso coffee maker. Upon check-out, the lady did not offer to store my luggages for me till my departure later that evening. I have yet to receive a response to my email from the hotel regarding my complaints and disappointments.

I reserved and paid for a signature room, but was given either a deluxe room or premier room instead. The room has absolutely no view, other than into the windows of the neighboring rooms and the windows of the building across. I guess it would be a great view if I were a peeping tom; I could probably count how many pens were on the tables. Since there were no views, iHome docking station or Nespresso coffee maker. I had to rearranged my entire schedule, so my guests and I would stay as little time as possible in the room. I had to preserve my sanity from the criticisms from my guests somehow. I am more tired and stressed now compare to before the trip. Also, unlike other hotels, Omni San Francisco does not offer any printed and readily available information of the hotel amenities. You would need to ask or randomly explore to find out the locations, hours and availability of their fitness room, computers, printers... etc. The size of the hotel lobby is half of what I expected to be minimum of a 3+ stars hotel. There are no "convenient stores" in or near the hotel. If you forgot your toothpaste... well I guess with money, the 24-hour guest service could bring you the moon if you ask. Some staff are nice, friendly and give their 110% effort. They are usually the "lower ranking" staff. The "higher ranking" ones know how to smile, but it is not difficult to smile and give a whole speech of empathy while firing people left and right either.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 days post Christmas and really enjoyed the hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean, hotel staff is also very friendly. the location though is bitter sweet. hotel is located in financial district and so that makes it great place for lunch and breakfast however, it is not ideal for dinner. most of the good restaurants close after 7. SF is small city so you can always cab towards mission for good food and also to major attractions for less than $15.

Had just one night in SF with the gf, and decided to try this place out. Great hotel. Looks and feels very high class, with a little bit of that old school tradition to it. Location was terrific, we were either a short walk or a short taxi ride to plenty of restaurants or clubs/bars. The room was terrific - great, comfortable king bed and a very warm vibe in the room overall (which was perfect for a December weekend). Place is usually pretty expensive, but the deal through here made it feel ilke a real steal. Would be happy to stay here again in the future.

From the moment we stepped out of our car and were greeted by the doorman and then on to the front desk, to the housekeeper and restaurant employees everyone was so helpful and friendly. They couldn't do enough for us. There are remodeled upgraded rooms on the upper floors which are very nice. Very clean. The lobby was decorated for Christmas, it was beautiful. Yes, I would stay there again. Easy access to everything. We had a great time.

Great location for business--- across the street from the B of A building and on a cable car line--- but very good for pleasure also. Maybe 10 minute walk to heart of retail district. Literally next door to Chinatown. $5 cab ride to heart of North Beach. Fanastic lobby, nice restaurant (steak house), great staff. Very clean room, decent size---just a little more traditional than my preference ( 'heavy' dark woods, no flat screen). We were there for our 30th anniversary and we not disappointed.

When we checked in it was discussed that we had paid reservations for one less night than we were supposed to. The lady we discussed the matter with as we checked in said she would take care of the matter and add the additional night. When we came in on Friday night, we were locked out of the room. We went back to the desk and they unlockd the room for us so we could go to bed. It was explained that we could have used the phone in the elevator lobbyk but assumed it was here as an example of an old dial pone and not working. My other comment is that for a hotel of your class, you should have "grab bars" in the bathrooms. As one graduates to the older ages it is a lot easier to get around the bathroom tile floors with grab handles on the walls. This is espicially true with the bath tubs with the high walls. as are in the hotel. Does not make a happy shower. dvd

Dissapointed in the "Signature" level room. Small all around. Old style shower with narrow bath tub shower enclosure. Holiday Inn does a better job. Not much for a lot more money. First stay, so had higher expectations for a Omni Hotel. Can only imagine what the regular rooms were like. Probably not much. Don't recommend at all.

My wife and I googled the best 10 things to do in San Francisco and 12 came up. We did all 12 atractions which were all within walking distance from the Hotel. Great accomodations at the Omni!!! I was very happy with our trip and everything was AWESOME!!!

This was our first stay at an Omni Hotel but it won't be our last. From the moment we arrived until we left we were treated royally. Decor is from another time period but is fresh and clean. We would have liked a small fridge in the room but that was all. Everything was spotlessly clean. Our only complaint: we didn't get "sweet dreams" candy every night!

What a beautiful hotel - all grand and glamorous! We had a superb room and the staff were very helpful allowing us a late check out with no extra charge. We had an evening departure and we were able to store our luggage until we were ready to leave for the airport. Only problem we weren't there long enough!!

We had a lovely experience at the hotel. We went for a pleasure trip to SF and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was so nice and smelled so good when we walked in. The room was very clean and the bed was AMAZING! In fact, it was so good I just bough a feather bed topper for my mattress. The decor was nice, sheets were great, and even the restaurant in the hotel was decent, though breakfast is not worth the money. Dinner was good though. Overall, I totally recommend it. The staff was so friendly too. You get what you pay for here. And...its location is PERFECT!
