Olinda Othon Hotel Rio De Janeiro Guest Reviews
The hotel is very bare, not worth what they charge. The location is perfect but you will probably not have a beach view room. My room window was facing a space between the hotel and the next building, with a big air conditioning machine that was very loud. It felt like I was inside an airplane because of the noise. I asked the reception to change my room and they said that they were completely booked, which I think was a lie.

It was my first time at Olinda Othon, and it is in a good location - right on Copacabana beach - convenient short walk to restaurants, and short taxi ride to business district. Room is decent, staff is courteous, and breakfast is slightly better than typical. From a business perspective, if hotels such as this one add two things to their rooms: coffee, and iron (with ironing board). Both are cheap items, but have a significant effect on the quality of stay.

the hotel is undergoing a refurbishing. We were treated very well and had a great room at the front, that had already been done. The bathroom is simple, but adequate. Airco is only on or off, but the view on Copacabana is great. I can imagine that rooms in the back aren't very interesting, but ours was spacey, very clean and inexpensive for what we got.

I loved Rio de Janeiro and I had a glad expenrience staying at the Olinda Othon, its close to everything, and the hotel staff are very gentile and amazing, they are always trying to find the way to make ur stay even more pleasent.. the only thing I didnt like was that they didnt have WI FI for notebooks and they had just 2 computers that were very slow and the internet was quite expensive.. Besides that everything was perfect... I truly recomend Olinda Othon Hotel. Thanks.. MARIA LUISA (Mexico)

I can rate the Hotel only as 2 stars. Not knowing the type of rooms being provded, you are at risk. After arriving and seeing the size of the room, and you want it upgraded, it is not being allowed though you want to pay for the upgradation. Room was not locking and alternate room not being given. Please inform peopl who book on internet the services and size of the rooms before hand.
