major renovation. Noise unbearable. Would not stay there again if it were the last hotel in Florida. We left after one night.

This is definitely a 2 star in disguise. Great location. Clean. Excellent price, but definitely a 2 star.

Ocean Point Beach Resort is AT MOST motel-like room quality. The carpet, in my assumption is older than me (I'm in my late 20's). If you're going to stay at this place, you'd DEFINITELY need a slipper or a pair of shoes to walk around the room and the balcony, or else your feet will get sticky from who knows what on the carpet. I must also mention that I got a few bug bites on my body! I'm assuming they're bed bugs! The bathroom amenities are standard motel quality. They're shampoo+conditioner bottle and a bar of soap. We stayed 4 days and the cleaning lady did not give us any additional bottle or soap. We had to use the one bar of soap for 4 days. Good thing we brought our own shampoo and conditioner. The only good thing about this place is its proximity to the beach. It's literally a few feet a way from the sand and the beach. Unless you get "Ocean FRONT view rooms", your room will only get SOME/PARTIAL ocean view. If you want the whole ocean view, you'd need to look from the balcony. Here is my suggestion: If you're on a tight budget and merely looking for a place in walking distance to the beach, I'd say go for it. But if you're looking for anything slightly more than that, look elsewhere!
