Location
The Ocean Grand Hotel is just 25 minutes away from Jeju International Airport and the JeJu Harbor. The Park Southerland is an amusement park located within 8 km of the hotel. Within 12 km guests will find World Heritage site and one of the world's largest lava tubes at Manjang Cave. Sangumburi Crater is also 12 km away.

Located away from the bustling "tourist traps"... nearer to nature - sea, sand, halla mountain, lava tube, craters, fishing villages... staff are helpful but their command of english is basic... a few very good restaurants along the beach - walking distance from the hotel.. tips* follow the locals, you will find jewel.. convenience store just opposite.. good place to get snacks, fruits, coffee, tea, milk...anything...

The location beside The Yellow Sea was GORGEOUS! We'd previously requested an ocean-view room and after checking in at 2:30 PM on the day I was supposed to arrive, I was directed to a room overlooking the GRAND Parking Lot which was incidentally undergoing construction. However, after some pressure the Desk Clerk relented and gave us a room with somewhat of a view of the ocean. The First Night, my partner and I had been given 4 Hand towels to use for showering. This issue was resolved however the next night we were there. However, the last night of our stay we were given 3 Hand Towels and 1 Bath towel. The Front Desk person, though, was nice enough to deliver on to our room. The Front Desk Staff lacked warmth, and a sense of unwelcomeness with a slight air of arrogance through no fault of our own. My partner and I we disappointed to observe that the attitude of this Hotel's Staff was consistent with previous negative reviews as reported on the tripadvisor.com website.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and staff were helpful enough. Amenities were a bit lacking - the restaurant was ambiguously not open for service during dinner hours. The surrounding beach is modest, but still offers some beautiful views. A fine place if you just want some peace and quiet.

Very nice hotel just next to fabulous beach - allthough far away from other tourist attractions. Good restaurants nearby. Some more English for the staff would be benefit! We liked that hotel very much!

I stayed two nights there and had few problems. I had requested an ocean side room for both nights but the first night they said they didn't have any available. I was able to change rooms the next night and the view was amazing. The location is not the best if you are concerned about taking a bus to get around the island. I had the front desk call a taxi that I used for the day and that worked out great. It is some distance away from some of the more popular attractions. For the price the view couldn't be beat.
