it's on a busy street that caters to partiers and beachgoers, but that's what i expected. bring your earplugs, for the late night revelers, and your camera for the daytime wandering. there are many restaurants nearby, and coffee spots for the morning walk. i enjoyed the pier, the surfers, nice tv's, the beautiful woody, the breeze, and the staff was most pleasant and helpful. love the owners, they were working on the courtyard and plantings...i'll be back!

Our stay started out wonderfully from the start. We arrived an hour before check-in and the manager was happy to allow an early one. This allowed us to park for free in the hotel parking lot. Otherwise there is no free parking near the beach. Walking in, you immediately step into a GORGEOUS outdoor courtyard, full of beautiful flowers/plants, tables to relax at, all surrounding a tranquil fountain. I don't know if all rooms are the same, but ours was very basic. Newly remodeled bathrooms with a very nice shower. No bathtub which was a little tricky with our one year old. The only other negatives were that there was not alot of counter space, nor any available outlets for phone chargers and blow dryers. We had to unplug the a/c unit to use them. Not bad thought. This was comPletely made up by the fact that we were RIGHT across the street from the beach! And our trip was for that reason specifically, not to be in the room very long. We would love to stay again!!!

the location was excellent, the counter staff were the kindest attendants possible. we slept witht eh window open every night and slept with the sound of the ocean waves pounding the sand. except for a few loud late partiers, we were very relaxed. oun a late outing, the front office insured that we would have a place to park when we arrived (she did have one). all in all, great.

If you're expecting the "Ritz" you will be disappointed, but if you take it for what it is you will love this place. We were able to check in early and the hotel is "pet friendly". Great location, close to the main drag,pier,tide pools and dog beach. I live in the area but had not been back in over 30 years, it was like nothing had changed. Bed was a little hard, but so what,staff made up for any small short comings the room may have had.
