Ocallaghan Davenport Hotel Dublin
4 out of 5

I stayed over the holidays and the staff could not be more accomodating. Check in was very efficient and they offered my room early a my flight came in mid morning. I knew in advance that there were no washcloths nor alarm clock. So I brought my own. There is a tv alarm that's very dependable. The wall has a built in converter - I could plug in my US curling iron and digital camera charger easily. Water pressure was amazing in the shower. Doesn't have a convenience store for snacks or toiletries. Hotel is a bit off the path. But everything I needed was within a short walk. Bed was very comfy; small but adequate fitness room; breakfast not included- that would have been nice. Had blowdryer and iron in room; coffee was instant but tea was amazing! Close to everything! I would stay with this brand again without hesitation.

Location was very good - easy walking distance to Trinity, Grafton Street. We also walked to other attractions - Guiness, St. Patrick's although that might be too much distance for some. Hotel was clean, quiet. Only drawback - needing to pay for internet access.

Everything was perfect, service from the morning receptionist let the whole place down. She was rude the whole time we were there and to each of us individually. The lady on in the evenings and the gentleman on in the very early morning shift were great. Great location, great place to stay.

Great hotel, big clean room which was located on the top floor. No noise, would reccommend this hotel. Only drawback was the gym, bit small.... and no visable shower.

Great location, although somewhat difficult to find on foot with the address given. Hotel is beautiful, and has traditional style - very quaint. Very clean, beds comfortable, although is the twin beds pushed together for a king style. But that was true everywhere we went in Europe. Great Value.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Ocallaghan Davenport Hotel Dublin. We were entirely satisfied both times with the hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

The Davenport met our requirements perfectly. We wanted somewhere close to the National Gallery and Museum, and Stephens Green. It is also within walking disdance from Trinity College and Dublin Castle, which we visited. We stayed on a 'Room only' basis and cannot comment on the restaurant, but the checkin/out couldn't have been more efficient. The bedroom and bathroom were extremely clean. There were a couple of minor maintenance matters that needed attention, but they didn't impact on our overall satisfaction. Would definitely use again.

We enjoyed our stay at the O'Callaghan Davenport. Great in terms of close enough to centre but in a quieter location. Bed huge; room bigger than some and a fantastic hot and powerful shower, which is always good after a long day sightseeing. Couldn't tell you about the bar or restaurant as did not use. Reception very helpful and happily held our bags after checking out on last day, before we needed them for the airport trip home. (There's a great little cafe/breakfast bar just across the road if you are on a budget).

Car park machine would not take note money or coins as it was jammed. Credit card payment took over 5 minutes to return card. Rooms were dated and boring. Had retured from Sweden on that day and hotels there were far superior.

Good sized rooms, courteous staff and an excllent central location. Not the cheapest hotel in Dublin but good value nevertheless. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will do so again.

Comfortable and adequate 4 star hotel. Only slept there. Comfortable firm bed. Room temperature ok, perhaps a bit warmer then we would have found ideal. Didn't use any other facilities. Plenty of hot water for shower and bath. Good water pressure. Would have been better if kettle had light to indicate that it was switched on.

Charming hotel in Georgian building. Room slightly on the small side but had all the facilites expected from a 4 star & was resonably priced in comparison to other's in the area. Staff friendly & always catered to our requests Great Location - Very peaceful & quiet yet only 5 min walk from the shops & 10 min from nightlife (also has taxi rank outside). Would certainly come back to this hotel or others in the Ocallaghan chain.
