This was a fantastic 2 day getaway before business meetings in Adelaide. We have stayed in other places but not again, can't wait to come back. Loved every second of our stay. Loved going to the beach and then walking down the streets for an ice cream or drink/wine. In the evenings we headed to the indoor pool and sauna. Everything is so close and easy. By far our best stay and look forward to next time.

Great apartment style accomodation, separate lounge/bedroom, full kitchen, nicely furnished, balcony, great location. If a great rate is offered again we would certainly stay here.

My boyfriend and I wanted a quick getaway for a few days before Christmas, and came across Oaks Plaza Pier on the internet. With a great price we were able to book an amazing room, and contact from the reception was very prompt. Oaks Plaza Pier is in a perfect location, a tram ride out of the city and we were on the pretty beach, with everything you need in the little hub in Glenelg. Which was extremely well cleaned and cared for. Check in was surprisingly fast and hotel staff were very friendly, every staff member we passed greeted us and wished us well. The reception staff even personally delivering us new batteries for our remote control. While we were in Adelaide we relaxed on the Holdfast beach (Glenelg), adventured Rundle Mall (so many amazing cuisine options!), went to the zoo, visited the art gallery and the museum, and relaxed in the pool, spa and sauna at our hotel. This was a perfect pre-Christmas escape, thanks Oaks Plaza Pier for giving us a memorable South Australian holiday. Will certainly come back!

Couldn't believe a car park wasn't included in the room! I refused to pay an extra $20 pn, for a car park, when it already priced to the max. We didn't have enough glasses in the room and asked on 3 seperate occassions, even went down to collect, communication was quite difficult with the staff, it was only thanks to "Carol' our Aussie housekeeping staff lady, who finally got us additional glasses and an ironing board. Tried a number of times to reception and room service but got no answer. Otherwise the beach vew was great, beds were very comfortable, bathrooms were clean. Perhaps ask staff to address their personal hygene, some had bad BO, and left their oder in the corridor and lifts! Room was great, only 1 staff member "Carol" was very helpful.....

Overall the Oaks Glenelg was lovely and staff welcoming, however there is an issue with carparking that we did not know about until we got there. There is no free parking anywhere in the area, only underground parking at the motel that is more expensive if you choose to use it as a guest of the hotel! I found this quite unacceptable that I would have to pay for parking at all and then be charged extra when staying. I would consider other options next time I travelled to Adelaide for this reason alone. Otherwise the room and facilities were lovely.

Excellent location, room completely comfy, has all amenities needed, clean. Bathroom could be a little more modern (shower in bath, mould on white tile grout) Towels had terrible odour, requested fresh ones, all Ok after that.

Shower over bath. Screen very short, so water goes all over floor. Slipped when trying to step into the bath, bruised my leg.

The only negative about this stay was that we only had one night, such a perfect location, wish we had more time to enjoy the view and luxurious room, will definitely stay again.

My daughter and I had a girls weekend away in a one bedroom apartment. As a part of the deal we received an upgrade to a parkview room and loved the extras including the balcony and king bed. The room had all you need with plenty of space and qualith furnishings. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the noise from the night time crowd at the Pier Bar as they left. We were located on the fifth floor directly above the entrance/foyer area and heard several fights after waking to arguing on both nights and saw an arrest at 2.30am on the Saturday. We dont mind a bit of noise and go out ourselves, but would ask for a higher room or away from the bar area and main taxi rank locations next time. We will be back.

It would be helpful if the hotel was clear when booking that a room deposit of $150 was required at check-in. Not having a credit card and being unaware of this policy lead to an embarrassing situation when we were unable to check in to our rooms even though they had been paid for in advance. However, once we had gone to the bank and rectified this we were able to enjoy a wonderful stay in a fantastic hotel.

A very good hotel; clean, modern, and well presented, but spoiled by noise, staff attitude, and strict breakfast offer.

the hotel offered exactly what we wanted in accommodation however, our room was not serviced for 5 days despite being told it would be. the next day we had to ask for a service - some items were not provided. Housekeeping did a good job when they finally got there but the wait was unacceptable. There is a person on the front desk who seriously needs some help with his English... we could not understand him and I think this contributed to our poor housekeeping service.

On arrival I was greeted by no one. The Asian man looked up and continued working on his keyboard. Then a very rude Indian man came out from the back room and was very abrupt and told us we would have to wait till 2.00pm to get into our room after a seven hour drive. Surely 20 minutes would not have mattered that much. Sad to say the toilet was very dirty and needs a real good clean at the bottom of the bowl. The restaurant staff in both venues and bar staff were all helpful polite and excelled themselves. Food in restaurants was amazing and good quality at a reasonable price. Even the girl in the pokie room was very nice. Sad to mention about the reception - but just remember this is our first point of contact. The washing machine did not work either. Hence we left with dirty clothes - wet clothes.

We had a 2 bedroom suite which was great. Very clean, good kitchen, 2 bathrooms. Hotel ideally located near beach and restaurants/shops on jetty road. Issues: plumbing was a bit noisy, shower drain was very loud. Parking expensive under the hotel - should try parking garage next door.

Loved the hotel, beds wonderful, right on beach, but arrived after driving for 41/2 hours to find no carpark available anywhere in the carpark or in the vacinity of the Hotel. It was beautiful day over christmas break and every carpark was taken by day trippers. Manager on duty gave us his park as he hadnt driven to work that day. Thank you!!

Good hotel, great swimming/sauna/spa area, absolutely first class 180 degree views across the ocean, had a couple of issues with some of the appliances not working properly and found some of the staff a little indifferent towards us when we asked for assistance here and there, but i would still go back to this hotel if we ever go to Glenelg again.

Room was lovely, everthing you need. If having an extended stay the kitchen would be very handy. Lovely breakfast and coffee downstairs. Across the path and you're on the beach. Five minute walk to cafes and the Tram at Glenelg.

Everything great with our studio apartment and 2 bedroom. Right on beach, very clean & spacious, view or balcony facing sea or park. BUT must phone to book carpark which is VERY limited. Arrived Friday night and no public carparking was available due to popularity of area. Staff very accommodating.
