Great location on Collins St, walking distance from everywhere, even Melbourne Park for the tennis! Also easy tram travel & train close at Southern Cross Station. The room was perfectly fine on the 18th floor with a view to the river & even the bay in the distance. All amentities were provided & having kitchen facilities is a bonus. My only complaint would be that the tv was placed too high on the wall & was a bit too small otherwise it was a perfect stay.

Kitchen facilities excellent. Staff helpful. I really missed not having bedside reading lamps. To read I had to leave bathroom light on and then get out of bed to turn it off. No light switches were accessible from bed. Swimming pool was outdoors, shaded by buildings and not heated; very cold. TV was mounted very high up which was uncomfortable for my neck.

The bathroom was so tiny, you could roll out of bed and land on the loo if it wasn't for the glass cupboard that enclosed it. Great for a perve if you want to see your partners silhouette not too grand if your partner has a noisy bum.The room has the bed the lounge the kitchen in it. The hotel was close to transport and eating out. Which if you like fine food don't eat from the hotel most of the meals are pre cooked and re heated, try a steak if you must eat there. Nice people but might not re visit.

I have stayed at Oaks on Collins for the past 4 years for both work and pleasure. The rooms are spacious and very relaxing. Amenities are also well stated and maintained. The location is also great. Walking distance to Southern Cross/Spenser St Station, trams go past outside. Walking to diners, clubs, pubs just about any where/or anything you need. The bar is also OK. We dined at Hardware lane, South Bank amd Fed Square and walked all the time. So what could be better... Larger TV, quality tea/coffee

Nice room with a small balcony which was a bonus as most hotels in Melbourne, simply don't have. Only complaint was the TV was nearly on the ceiling pointing downwards, so the only way to watch was to lay on the bed and look up!! Apart from this, well appointed, clean and staff friendly. Would stay there again.
