Location
The property is located in the Lamington National Park, 2 hours by car from south of Brisbane and 1.5 hours from west of the Gold Coast. The guesthouse is 3000 feet above sea level and enjoys cool mountain air and spectacular views.
The Retreat features spacious rooms ranging from the luxurious Canopy Suites, through the most popular Mountain View Rooms, to the simple yet comfortable Garden View.
Restaurant
Enjoy the jovial relaxed atmosphere of the guesthouse's favourite meeting place by having a drink at the bar and enjoying the spectacular sunsets from the verandah. The cafe offers a delicious menu of home-style meals with a wide beverage selection.

We had a nice stay here. Very comfortable clean warm rooms. Decor dated and no TV, but you wouldn't come here for 5* cutting edge hotel experience. The setting and surrounding rainforest are beautiful. Staff were nice and service was fine.

This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The room was very nice with a stunning view over the mountains. Service was very accommodating and friendly. There are some lovely bush walks. The most beautiful birds visited us on our balcony.

Felt the Staff could have been more friendly and helpful. We had a rodent in our room, which when we reported it to reception we were told it was a small marsupial, we were expecting that comment because we were in a national park.....still didn't like sharing our snacks with any animal... $200.00 for a basis room no meals included.

Definitely worthwhile staying there even though it was fairly pricey.Staff mostly appeared to be backpackers and weren't very professional. One poor lady on the front desk appeared to be doing everything.(very well).
