Clean and comfortable on the whole, no extractor fan in bathroom, so it got real steamy in there. The tea and coffee making facilities consist of a tiny Mr Coffee machine and one sachet of coffee a day. The lifts are inadequate for the amount of guests, so everyone has to squeeze in with their luggage. Don't expect your view to look anything like the pictures, and as it is taking up 2 sides of a block, surrounded by other hotels, we ended up with a stunning birds eye view of a car park and alley. Reception staff are strictly for check in, don't ask them to do anything else, and be prepared to fight off sales people in the lobby trying to persuade you to go to a free event EVERY time you walk in or out...(it's actually timeshare and you'll have to sit through a 2 hr presentation to qualify). Overall I was very disappointed, I was looking forward to sitting on my balcony, sipping cocktails while looking out to the beautiful Waikiki beach.......Pity really.

Staff very friendly and helpul. Great location and family friendly hotel. Bathrooms small. The location is very central in Waikaki and the trolley leaves from outside the hotel. Public transport readily avaliable and easy to get. Within walkin distance to beach shops etc. Would stay here again.

Positive points: excellent location in Waikiki (a few minutes from everything), free trolley going to the Ala Moana Center just in front of the hotel. Helpful staff and overall nice atmosphere. Negative points: the hotel rooms are a little bit old. Our view was a parking and another building. Reduced space in the closets for your luggage and clothes. Not the Sheraton but good bargain to stay in never sleeping Waikiki...

We stayed at the hotel in early May. The hotel itself is pretty low key . We had to wait 45 minutes before checking in . The rooms itself was actually very clean. This hotel is all about location , location, location!. Also our room came with a small kitchen which was very handy as we had a 4 year old with us.The staff were very friendly and helpful. It can get pretty loud on a Thursday night as there is a bar downstairs so if noise bothers you a lot, I would recommend getting a room that faces the back not the front of the hotel.

For the money it was fantastic. Good location. We used the pink trolley constantly and found it very useful. It stops out the front of the hotel and stops at many of the main features. We would definitely stay there again.

Great value for money. Fantastic location and considering what you are paying, the room is comfortable and reasonable. The only thing was the staff. Not the most freindly staff so we just avoided them. WARNING: do not book any tours through the activity desk in the hotel lobby. It is a scam and they will charge you over 3 times the amount that you will pay from a tour/activities office on the street. They will also try to con you into a "free" breakfast on the first day where they try and make you book all your activities/tours through them at the inflated price. Besides that, I would recommend.

I really liked the location. The room was quite spacious and the kitchenette was very convenient if I did not want to go out for meals. The pool is very nice to relax and swim. Enjoyed my stay and would come again. This was my second time at this hotel.

First the picture you have is of Ohana East not West the sister hotel and I have stayed there as well. At the West I was by myself. I had a small room but it fit me perfectly. The shower is to fit one person but the water pressure was great and the water was hot if I wanted. I found nothing wrong with this hotel. I will definitely stay here again. There is a Chili’s down stairs and a Cowboy night club. The Cabanas bar at the pool was fun and everyone was friendly. I'm 59 and enjoyed myself. The Market place is across the street. You are one block from the beachfront hotels. I walked straight through the market place and across the next street and I’m at Duke’s in the outrigger. If you want to save money stay here. Otherwise the outrigger is a great place for 190.00 a night and up.

We were very pleased with the 15 minute free long distance phone calls, free safe, free daily newspaper, and the free pink shuttle which takes you to the Ala Moana shopping mall. We were pleasantly surprised when at the pool bar on Thanksgiving day we were offered a free full Turkey dinner buffet (optional $5.00 donation for a good charitable cause). The location was excellent, a couple blocks to the beach and around some great restaurants and Starbucks. Two complaints, the noise from the bar on weekends was excessive and the elevators did not level properly. We would stay here again, if the amenities stayed the same.

I stayed here for seven nights in October, which is a busy season I understand. Front desk man was very friendly when I checked in and explained all the amenities to me. The room was clean and cleaned well daily. I had a kitchenette and the staff made sure I had extra coffee and clean towels for the kitchen as well as the bathroom. The location was great-right on The Bus line, Trolley's and other public transportation. Everyone was friendly and not overbearing. I had a wonderful stay and would definately go back to this hotel!

The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the heart of the action and not far from the beach. This is a budget hotel, a little tired and in need of refurbishing. However, for the price it is a great place to stay. We had a kitchenette which gave us the opportunity to cook a meal instead of always eating out. There is a fully staffed tourist booking desk located in the lobby.

We stayed here Oct 2010 for three nights four days. We had a decent view. Room was very very spacious. The only thing I didn't like was the bath tub. It would clog up and when taking a shower the water wouldn't go down. Over all I loved it here. House keeping was great. Lots of stores close by and chili's was right under us. Parking is a pain in the butt though.

Very uncomfortable and unsatisfactory hotel stay. The room was extremely small, the elevators moved very slow, and the hotel parking we paid for was always full so we had to park in another buildings' garage which was three blocks away.

We were in our room only to sleep and eat, since we got the kitchennette room, which was helpful to save some money. Sometimes they forgot to replace our cofee and sugar packets and I did find one big bed bug crawling on the bed spread that I killed, cause my lil daughter was freaking out. =)I also, didn't like thier shampoo/conditioner, it was not leathering and only tangled my hair. I ended up using my own shampoo and suggest u do the same! Otherwise, location was great and we walked to couple of beaches and the Honolulu Zoo, everything is very close, I liked riding the trolley. Most fun we had was swimming in the blue clear warm ocean and we were really sad to leave!

Pros: within walking distance of most things in Waikiki, free pink line trolley service around Waikiki Cons: the elevators are horrible, you will most likely wait over 5 to 7 minutes to get on one, and they are always overcrowded because of how long it takes you to get one. On top of that you must remember to use your room card to work the elevator which can be a pain. Being harassed by the activities desk(right next to the elevator)...don't listen to their offers they are way overpriced, do some research on activities before you get to Hawaii. Outdated rooms, mine had paint chipping and wallpaper coming up. No free wi-fi except in the lobby. The lobby also has two computers you can use however it cost big bucks to use or to print anything...so bring your own mobile device and use it in the lobby, the hotel is a rip off. No access to a microwave unless you get a kitchenette, so don't bring any leftovers back that you want heated up.
