I would recommend it to a friend. The grounds and swimming pool are not brilliant but very nice all the same. The rooms are nice with all the amenities you would expect from this kind of hotel.

Comfortable hotel; staff attentive without being over-bearing (most addressed me by name soon after arrival). Location is good, unless you want to stay in the middle of the tourist part of the city. Breakfasts were OK; I did not have any other meals in the hotel. It is perhaps a little on the pricey side, though the value is good.

The area around Yogyakarta is fascinating with many interesting sights to visit and culture to experience. The hotel has an excellent "flexible" tour service that is both informative and helpful. You can custom-build your tour and have anything from basic car hire to a full guide package. Private, with no groups. a perfect base to see the area around Yogjakarta.
