The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable, we had a great night's sleep. The reception staff were very slow and didn't acknowledge people who had been waiting a while to check-in, they were very unhelpful. We were disappointed to learn that they stuffed up our booking and charged us twice, she didn't want to check my paperwork I handed over to her, she just threw it back at me.

I have stayed at the Novotel Brighton Beach a number of times now but not for a few years. The place does not appear to have changed since my very first visit in October 2000. My biggest issue I guess was smell of the corridor. We were on level 7 which is non-smoking but we could definitely smell smoke in the morning.

Very overpriced. Paid over $300 for very dated room with no mimibar, no concierge and tiny TV.

Although the hotel is looking a bit dated and the outside could certainly do with a paint job, the rooms are certainly comfortable, dark and quiet. The bed and pillows would be back in my bedroom if I could have worked out how to sneak them out! The front desk staff were very friendly and assisted us quickly with our request for extra towels etc.

A very good, clean hotel and the staff were friendly. We had a great room with a separate living room area with settee, desk and another t.v. The bathroom was a little dated but still in good condition and we had a great view of Brighton Beach. If you are staying in this hotel to be near the airport (as we were) then this is in a good location (about 15mins by taxi). However, if you want to be near Sydney and all the attractions then do not stay here. It is quite a distance from the city centre (maybe about 40mins by taxi approx $50-$60).
