Enjoyed my stay at Novotel. Pricey but very friendly staff, excellent rooms, and conveniently placed close to the convention centre/RAI station and tram stop.

Actually put a bid on P____ and was unfortunate to get saddled with this "4 star hotel".. This same hotel that I called from the US to Amsterdam to verify that there would not be a problem as I was bringing my dog (weighs less than 9 pounds). Had a discussion with the 'desk' and she talked with the front desk assistant' .. who sent me an email.. the day before I was to leave.. stating that .. if I brought a dog.. I COULD NOT register as a guest... Because.. dogs (even therapy) ARE NOT ALLOWED.. SO.. P_______ got my $$$... This hotel got my $$$... I got NOTHING... AND.. all I get from P_______ and the hotel is the run around AND each blaming the other. FYI,... EVERY OTHER hotel in the Schiphol Airport allows dogs... WHAT DOES THIS MEAN ??? DO NOT TRUST the description and reviews of these hotels... NOTICE this website states that this hotel is 'pet friendly' I wonder if the reviewer spent too much time in the 'red light district' ?? instead of at the hotel !! oh.. my bid on P______ was $120, the lowest online price was $126.. ME ?? I'm the one that is out $500..

The hotel was nice and the location was perfect. They need to work on customer's service. The hotel receptionists are not nice and helpful. They are not working together. We asked for a wake up call for the airport, they did not call us. We booked a tour with a receptionist., when we arrived by 8:45 am they told us, it was too late and did not offer to even help us. Finally we have another worker who called the place for us and ask us to take a taxi to get to the tour bus center. Also we were supposed to have breakfast and they did not give us the breakfast. In conclusion,we had a wonderful time and we did not let some unhappy people messed up our vacation!

Should be limited time to use internet. Because it is only 4 computers, should be maximum 10 minutes. People are sitting chatting & facebook when there are a que of people waiting for internet to do more important things.

I booked this hotel on the understanding that it was in, or around Dam Square. It was a twenty minute drive from where we had expected to stay. My friends and I were very disappointed with this, we were only there for two nights and we felt we spent most of that time travelling on trams or trains.

Arrived one hour early and weren't allowed to book in without extra charge - thought this was very bad customer service. Toilet paper was like newspaper

Excellent hotel. Not typically Dutch (You could be anywhere in the world!!!) but standards are what you would expect from a big hotel chain.... Very clean. Staff very friendly, effecient and helpful. Good food and drink at reasonable prices. Although not in the centre of town it is easily acssesible via Tram or Metro, approx 15mins from central station and Train approx 15 mins from airport. two minute walk to hotel from Rai station. Also good road links This was our 8th visit to the hotel and we shall be returning very soon which says it all.

Overall we liked the Novotel very much. The staff was friendly, the rooms were quite and nice. Bathrooms were up to date and spotless. Breakfast buffet is very nice and enormous. Parking is very convenient. The only complaint is that the mattress should be replaced as you could feel the springs ever so slightly.
