Novotel Citygate Hong Kong Guest Reviews
The room was great. My only problem with it was that I couldn't find the thermostat control to regulate room temperature. The room was too cold for me plus the fan was set on high, so you could hear the fan noise throughout the night.

We stayed at Novotel Citygate on our last night in Hong Kong due to an early flight and the hotel's proximity to the airport. There is a free airport shuttle but unfortunately we couldnt use it because our flight arrived at 1230am which was past the last shuttle time. The hotel was expensive for a Tuesday night but there is not much choice that close to the airport. We received a room "upgrade" and the room was basically a modern efficiency. The bathroom area opened immediately into the bedroom...a modern efficiency. The breakfast buffet was average. The hotel is connected to a nice outlet mall.

its one of the best place we have stayed in Hong Kong! Very clean, good food - real value for money!

I stayed here for two nights en route to Zhuhai, China. It was perfect for me since I arrived near midnight and just wanted to get to a bed as quickly as possible. The hotel provides a courtesy shuttle that is relatively easy to find, and it is only a 5 minute ride to the hotel. My room was somewhat small, but perfectly adequate and very clean. The amenities included razors, hair brushes, and toothbrushes in addition to the expected items. That was a nice touch. As others have noted, the hotel is connected to the Citygate outlet mall. It is also at the end of one of the subway lines, so it is very convenient to get into the heart of Hong Kong. It is also next to the cable car gondola that takes you to the top of a nearby mountain. It is worth the 30 minute ride to get to the top, and you can plan to spend at least an hour to an hour and a half walking aound and visiting the shops on top of the mountain once you're there. I thought I could take the ferry from the airport to Zhuhai when I checked out, but I found out that option is only available for same-day arrivals and departures. It wasn't a big problem for me because I only had a carry-on bag so I was able to take the subway to another ferry terminal, but you should be aware of that restriction if you're planning to stay here and then take the SkyPier ferry to mainland China or Macau. I was able to book a package that included breakfast on both mornings I was there, and I found the breakfast buffet to have a generous selection of very good choices. All in all, it was exactly what I was looking for in a hotel for a 2-day layover and I definitely recommend it.
