Location
Novotel Citygate is set on Man Tung Road, just stone's throw from Tung Chung MTR Station and less than three kilometres to Hong Kong International Airport. Visitors can tee off at Skycity Nine Eagles Golf Course before strolling around Man Tung Road Park.

Excellent in all regards. Only drawback... My flight was delayed. I got out of customs at 2350, 5 minutes after the last free shuttle. So had to take a taxi... 51 HKD is OK and I'm glad that I had some local currency with me...

A great place for a stopover at HKG airport. Shuttle was there 10 minutes after getting through immigration. In my room 10 minutes later. The place is clean. Only drawback is that this time, the room had a bit of a moist feel about it and I had to pay for internet in the room...... Apart from that, a reasonable price for a stopover in a real bed.

Booked this room as my boy friend had to fly back to Australia early next morning. Arrived at the hotel at 12pm and successfully checked in. Had their buffet lunch downstairs which was okay. Room provides all the amenities with a decent view and is spacious in size and quiet. The bed was actually massive and comfortable. There are plenty to do around that area - the outlets for shopping, the cable car around the Lantau Island, Disneyland, the Big Buddha etc. Good thing about it is it's only 5 mins away from the airport and they do provide complimentary airport shuttle services running every 15-min interval.

If you need to overnight in Hong Kong between flights then I can't recommend this hotel more highly. It has a shuttle bus for the short (albeit circuitous) trip from the terminal to the hotel and once you are there you find yourself in a little oasis of comfortable room and good food with a side distraction of the Citygate factory outlet stores adjoining the hotel - what more could you ask for? The innovative room design is another attraction to check out!

The premier floor has the best value for the money if you can get it. Internet, pressing, tea and cocktails. Quite nice.
