Location

I was looking for somewhere close to enough to walk to the venue for my Concert of Celtic Thunder and this hotel was well within the area. The staff were great and even went out of their way to help my friend arrange for a small cake for my 50th birthday which is why I was in Cairns. They even managed to fix the noisy air-con which was great,

I am so glad I stayed here, it is such a nice place. I travel a lot for business, and it is reassuring to know that I can always rely on Novatel to deliver great accommodation at a fair price. Shame that the bathroom (behind the door and on the floor) have not been cleaned for some time. Otherwise would have been a perfect score from me.

We stayed at Cairns Novotel for a conference. The room was pleasant and comfortable although a fair walk from reception. My only irritation during our stay was when I asked at reception to purchase newspapers and was curtly told to go find a Nightowl downtown. Meals in the restaurant were reasonably priced and nicely presented. Well located . We had to hang around for hours before our plane left late afternoon and we were able to use a comfortable area off reception and even charged our laptop. Would recommend it.

This hotel is in a super location and is just a short walking distance to good quality shops, restaurants, the Night Market and the Cairns beach / swimming pool located on The Esplanade. The hotel swimming pool was fantastic (although a little cool to swim in) and was set in a picturesque garden setting with undercover barbecue area beside it. The hotel had free WiFi in the lobby area and assisted with printing issues. It had parking under the hotel but a small fee was charged for usage. This was a pleasant hotel to stay in and offered comfortable accommodation..
